  1. I have an inappropriate audiophile pickup line now...and I am sad that I can't share it. Where's your their there they're post?
  2. Yup...this thread wins... [Edit: I just realized that was a Pony meme...apparently bing things I'm a ten year old girl...so this is a little less nerdy: ]
  3. Just curious....have you contacted the seller to see how much they are asking? Never know....it might just be a deal of a lifetime. I paid $2000 for this entire setup that I bought on Craigslist. Youthman, that is not fair to show him those speakers. Like dangling candy in front of a baby, lol. In a room full of babies... Well...two at least...I'm counting myself.
  4. Welcome aboard! Your best bet would be to find someone near you to test out a pair of Heresy's and also demo a pair of RF-82's to decide what sounds best to your ears. It's all about preference.
  5. Interesting input on that front. Not sure that's what happened in that case, but certainly something to keep in mind.
  6. Yeah...it just fell to $2.93 in eastern Iowa. Was a pleasant surprise to see. Hopefully it keeps going that direction.
  7. Yup, yup and yup! However, I feel compelled to share something with you guys: A few days ago, I found a pair of RB-25's on eBay for $80 + $30 shipping. Great price right? Well, the grills are all nasty and messed up, and from the looks of it, they haven't been kept in the best of condition. Those speakers ended without a single bid. Within hours of that auction ending, the seller put them back up, this time for $150 + $30 shipping. I mean...come on...dude...seriously!
  8. Might be able to help you with that in a week.
  9. I have a set of Quintets that I'm getting ready to part with. They show some wear mainly on the grills, but otherwise some minor scuffs. They still sound like they did when they were new. Reason I'm selling them is I'm removing the home theater setup from the office, and replacing it with a 2-ch amp with RSX speakers. $100 $75 gets all five speakers shipped. I'll post up some photos here in a little bit. If someone nearby wants to come get them, I'll knock $30 off that price. Cheers Here we go:
  10. Hopefully he responds soon. The guy in town here with the RF-3's never did.
  11. If I had an affordable way to get them back here, I'd get them myself. I have the money, just no way to transport it to make it worth it sadly.
  12. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/ele/4702815754.html No affil.
  13. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/ele/4701949117.html I'd love to have these, but there's no way to get them to me. I did seriously consider asking about freight shipping, but figure that'd be too much hassle for the seller (I know it would be me if I was selling.)
  14. Yes it does indeed seem like there are some people trying to cause a stir. Not sure what inspires people to do as such. :\
  15. I'm not sure what's up with SearchTempest lately myself, it's missed some huge deals right here in town lately too.
  16. Saw the home theater setup at $4K - nifty looking. I'd think about it IF I had the $4K - however, I'd have to debate between that and a pair of KHorns... Can I go outside and play yet? I finished building that addition you asked for.
  17. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2221161-nfls-deal-with-bose-prohibits-players-from-wearing-beats-by-dre-headphones What's even better is watching the Bose and Beats fankids going back and forth at each others throats in between the people who literally don't give a rats eye socket. Still...one heck of an advertising campaign by both companies. Imagine that...
  18. Welcome to the forum! I would do as scrappy says. The RF-62 II's are truly a superior speaker, and if you can get ahold of them for the same price as the Best Buy version, go for it. Man...I'm gonna have to start delegating and holding my tongue saying that stuff soon. Just remember Reference II > Reference
  19. You must write articles for Yahoo. Kids Digest Magazine is better.
  20. I feel like I missed something...WAT?
  21. This is why I have my 3's set to graze the outside of the MLP - however, I did that to counteract the fact my previous amps did not have formal EQ settings on them. I never adjusted them back after I did get a receiver that would manage EQ. Then again, I have horns all over the room as well, some aimed directly at the MLP, and some reflecting - but surrounds don't tend to make you want to cringe as much if you're getting hit by them.
