  1. Ok after reading all the posts on this thread I'm gonna fire up the Heathkits and Cornwalls! Grab a 3 finger Glenfiddich and chill out awhile!!!!
  2. Wet sand with Watco, 200, 220 grit sand paper, the removed material will become a paste that'll get pressed in any small voids. Light dry sand before next coat. About 4 coats. All sanding by hand, easy around corners and edges, let the Watco dry before next coat.
  3. Has anybody worked with the horn that's on the Klipsch Quartet? I'm wondering how that horn would sound in the squawker location on a Cornwall. Hey Mike check this set up out!
  4. Try a decent tube amp! I have a pair of recapped H 2's connected to the tube receiver that's displayed on my avatar. The sound is very nice. I bought that receiver for 85 bucks, and had all the caps & resistors replaced. 2 mullard el84's, 2 amperex bugle boy ecc83's, Now it's a gem.
  5. These are fun & easy to make, I terminated em with banana plugs and dressed the ends with shrink tubing.
  6. "Kimba" the white lion! and Gigantor!
  7. The Balvenie Double Wood is a very good reasonably priced scotch, and my neighbor drives a "chicory"! I think it's a 2004!
  8. Doesn't matter if you get the CW 1 or 2's, you're gonna tune them to your ears anyway. I got a pair of 2's with Ti diaphragms and NorthCreek inductors that'll make you smile!
  9. Anybody that's on the fence about installing Ti diaphragms in Klipsch speakers, do it! The sound will be better. Even better with a good tube amp!!!
  10. Samantha you can purchase the Ti diaphragms at Simply Speakers. They're in stock now. Here's a simple band pass you can add to the midrange circuit:
  11. So it sounds like adding the correct value resistor to the sqawker circuit is all I need to do. Will a 20 ohm resistor do it? Thanks.
  12. Mr.Crites I have a pair of Heresy ii's with rebuilt crossovers. I used some M caps, Jupiter wax caps and some Auricaps along with North Creek air core inductors for the tweeters, and some iron core inductors for the woofers. Both the tweeters & mid's have new Titanium diaphragms. They sound great to me however I'm curious about your recommendation to "adjust" the mid crossover for the Ti diaphragm. Thanks.
