  1. There will be lashings for why haven't you done this sooner.
  2. Welcome to the forum, there is alot of great insight here. You will probably go through a few different set ups before you have completely fine tuned your system. There will always be better options it just depends on your budget and how big of a system you want to build. Eventually, if the budget allows it, tey upgrading to some of the heritage line thats where I hope to one day land.
  3. Great job and the arrangement is fantastic.
  4. I am so sorry to hear this, I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
  5. Welcome to the forum.. I like the Dolby PLXII mode or Dolby EX if you do not have Dolby Atmos. I find that playing with the settings and fine tuning to the way you like to enjoy your sound is the best option.
  6. I like the ground loop isolator idea. It sounds like there is an amplified feedback or electrical interference when your subs are split. Are the subs the same model velodyne? And how high are your gains set? Have you tried reversing the split instead of coming from the back of the amp, split off from one sub to the other.
  7. Does it hum even when the receiver is off? If so, it sounds like an lfe output problem on the amp.
  8. This was an awesome movie great spacial symmetry made me think I was being shot at for real lol. ♠♦♥♣
  9. I am using RS-25's for rears on my 7.2 mounted on like 32"-34" stands and they sound great
  10. It did not put the image up. I just edited it
  11. Overall this was a pretty good movie and had nice sound
  12. Has anyone used a Zalman Turbo Cooling 220mm Fan 17” Notebook Laptop Cooler ZM-NC3500 for cooling a receiver. I had that HDMI problem on my Onkyo SR-508. I now have a TX-NR636 now so far so good.
  13. 14. I believe as long as the enclosure is built correctly and with quality drivers that are not overpowered should sound good. I had an idea of building a tunnel port system from the enclosure to underneath a couch or a sound deadening mini box to decrease port noise if using ported enclosures.
  15. I have one I bought form someone with the same problem, It turned on and would pop and make static type noises which seemed like a bad ground. I regrounded the connections, put another fuse holder in still same problem so I put the sub in my rear ported KLH enclosure I redid with an Infinity amp. I put the RW-10 in that enclosure and it rocks out. It sounds 100x better than that KLH sub. So I concluded something was fried or a bad circuit on the Klipsch amp.
  16. I would check the speaker by itself. The amp probably was hit by lightning. Is the sub stiffer than normal like no cone movement. Could be a fried sub voicecoil would take a serious amount of power or current to due that on these.
  17. Have you thought about selling the rw-12d that is currently not working? What is going onwith it?
  18. You could try using an app on your cell phone called Sound meter by Borce Trajkovski and save some money, it seems to be pretty decent. I havent gotten it to go past 123db and thats about 16 ft. from my couch. Not sure how accurate is but should be decent enough to get an 80db rating or close to it. I would say to be safe go +5db.
  19. Just rear surrounds. I am having problems finding stands that can hold the rs-25's thats why I want to put them top of my entertainment center.
  20. I currently have a Onkyo 7.1 TX-SR508 and am upgrading to Onkyo TN-XR626 7.2 I am using Synergy F2's towers as mains and currently a polk center until my rc-42II gets here, rs-25's will be for front highs and rb-51's for rear surround and a KLH10 sub on which I installed an infinity 150w plate amp. I am currently looking for possibly 2 reference subs.
  21. What is the drawback to using RS-25's for front high speakers instead of rear surround?
