  1. Anyone else? I was thinking about black rubber cement.
  2. If you have trouble figuring it out on your own, post clearer pictures of the same serial number tags and we can help.
  3. Any advice on repairing the woofer surrounds on my newly acquired RF-7 II speakers. I am very familiar with refoaming speakers, but I've never replaced rubber surrounds. 2 woofers have 2 or 3 cracks in the surrounds, the other 2 are fine. I also can't even find the rubber surround replacements for this type of woofer. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  4. I use a cleaning spray that I spray on the towel first and wipe it down to clean them. I would recommend using a rejuvenating oil of some sort. I like to use this for oak speakers: Howard Restor-A-Finish 16 oz. Golden Oak https://www.homedepot.com/p/Howard-Restor-A-Finish-16-oz-Golden-Oak-RF3016/100592964 Let it dry for a couple of hours then I like to put some wax over the cabinets to keep them from drying out. 6. I upgraded my subwoofer to an SVS subwoofer, so I'm selling my old Definitive Technology subwoofer. It's a great "little" subwoofer, I just wanted something newer that could dig deeper into the teens. I'm asking $500 obo. Here's my Craigslist ad: https://boston.craigslist.org/sob/ele/d/norton-definitive-technology-powerfield/7305207085.html
  7. Heresies are great little speakers. I've had several pairs of them, but I've kept my belles. I love my belles and Khorns. La Scalas should pretty much sound the same as belles, but belles are prettier. It basically depends on if you want to take it slow and dip your toes in the Klipsch heritage waters, or dive right in. Either way, enjoy!
  8. I picked these up a couple of months ago. I bought them to learn more about adjusting crossovers and for some of the parts themselves. The cabinet is pretty well built by a hobbyist carpenter (not me). I'm offering the cabinet for free. I picked up too many speakers lately and I need to make room. It's a similar size to a chorus II. I'll leave the MCM tweeters and the midrange horn. I'm keeping the midrange drivers (A55G). They have Crites Cornwall 1 style crossovers converted into biwire/biamp, which I was going to remove as well, but feel free to make an offer on that. The woofers are MCM woofers which I am removing as well unless you have interest in those, again, feel free to make an offer. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  9. If they are mistakenly hooked up out of phase, that could be the issue. If you stereo has balance, put the balance all the way to one speaker, give it the same listen to see if you now have plenty of bass or not. If you do, something is backwards in wiring whether just the woofer or the entire speaker. If you don't have balance controls easily, you could just unhook one speaker.
  10. What is the general consensus on the AK-2 crossover? Do most people just replace it with the AA crossover? Obviously these speakers are beautiful to look at, but would I be downgrading from an audio point of view with my type AA Khorns with the real k400 metal horn?
  11. This is about 90 minutes from me, no idea if this is a good price or not https://westernmass.craigslist.org/ele/d/agawam-onkyo-integra-m506rs-amplifer/7303422143.html
  12. Someone posted this on the forum years ago, can't vouch for accuracy
  13. I remember seeing on the forum awhile back, some Klipsch engineer made some mini La Scala computer speakers. I want to try to convert a set of Klipsch pro media 2.1 speakers into mini belle speakers
  14. That's like the third time that has been listed on eBay. It seems very shady
  15. I would buy the original ones. They cost more, but it is accurate and not a knock off. I don't try to clean up the old glue when I replace badges. I put some super glue on the back of the badge over the old adhesive and place it on the grill and hold it in place until the glue sets up. I use a tape measure to help me line them up.
  16. The badge with the lines across it is known on this forum as "laser badges". They were only around for 3 years as someone posted. They do show up on eBay occasionally, but not often. The other badge you showed was used after those years. If you found a good set of those on eBay, I wouldn't hesitate to put them in your speakers. They show up more often on eBay than the laser badges. You can get knock off badges of either, but the originals show up from time to time.
