  1. My cough-ee is much tastier after being sonically bombarded by the tube driven midrange squawker on the Chorus 2. It's a much warmer flavor, with a fuller tastestage. And yes, I do prefer the dynamic palatableness of a vinyl mug over compressed glass.
  2. First it was global cooling, then it was global warming, now, both bases are covered by calling it climate change. I'm a skeptic by nature. This goes for many topics. I am on the left and right on different issues. I am a free thinker. When those who have most to gain from the climate change industry lead by example decreasing their own footprint below mine. Then I will sense the urgency and become less skeptical. I see many believers who swear that climate change is a fact. Who belittle those that deny it. However, none of these people live the lifestyle they preach. They all use fossil fuel every day. They all contribute to Earth's so called demise. It's time to sacrifice. Completely. Its not enough to recycle. I recycle. Those that do will be taken seriously. As they should.
  3. I suspect that there are at least two issues that worked for Edison: Since people hadn't heard a recording they didn't know what one sounded like, and also I suspect that the device and the musician were behind less than acoustically transparent curtains. Just guessing, but not unreasonable. Love to read a full description of a setup for this or see a photograph. Must have been some photos made. Dave I surmise that you are correct in your assumption. Edison was a conniving snake in grass according to several books I've read. Surely Tesla, who by no means was divorced from reality, thought so. Brilliant, but a snake just the same. So in that regard, I suppose he did take advantage of the fact that no one at the time knew what a recording sounded like.
  4. I can only imagine how much fun I would have just looking at your baddass setup. Not to mention listening to it. Enjoy it, fellow enthusiast.
  5. Here's a joke for those who are horrified by these green Klipsch. A chicken and an egg are lying in bed. The chicken is smoking a cigarette with a satisfied smile on its face. The egg looked pissed off, rolls over and says: “Well, I guess we finally answered THAT question.”
  6. Just thought I'd let you know, I also own your same turntable model. I have it hooked-up to a Yaqin tube preamp, and the vinyl sounds very good through the a Yaqin tube power amp and Chorus 2's. The low end sounds acceptable, to say the least. Perhaps, there is just something amiss with the actual Turntable which cannot be tuned that is causing the problem. Also, I disconnected the built in preamp on the unit itself because it doesn't shut down completely after being turned off. It was causing a slight hum that was bothering me.
  7. Glad to read that you are enjoying your purchase. If you don't mind I have several questions that I'm curious about. What model speaker do you have, did you get the titanium diaphragm upgrade for the tweeters, or just a replacement tweeter? If they are titanium diaphragms, are the highs more pronounced? Are they just "good," or considerably better? Thanks, Joseph They are a bit "brighter" than the K77's. I have Klipschorns. I did not get titanium tweeters. They are the 125's. I am happy. Thank you for your feedback.

What model speaker do you have, did you get the titanium diaphragm upgrade for the tweeters, or just a replacement tweeter? If they are titanium diaphragms, are the highs more pronounced? Are they just "good," or considerably better? Thanks, Joseph Joseph: the Crites CT125 is a phenolic diaphragm liquid cooled tweeter. I installed a pair into my first pair of Heresy and I liked them every bit as much as the titanium diaphragms in K79 tweeters of my Forte ll at the time. I like the horn lens used which is identical to the K77 except for the inclusion of a phase plug a very nice diffraction horn. Hope this helps. Best regards Moray James. http://www.critesspeakers.com/klipsch_tweeters.html Thanks for the feedback, Moray. I also appreciate the link you provided. Even though my stock Chorus 2's sound remarkable to my ears, the voices (I'm sure you know which voices) are beckoning me. These voices, are very alluring. lol

  10. Blessings to Mr. boxx's family. No need to wish Mr. Box anything other than to have pleasant journey. It is he who is in a better place. It is us who need to deal with worldly issues, such as pain, and so forth. I lost my step dad, Bill Knapp, last July. It was he who introduced me to the world audiophilia. I've since inherited my step dad's audio equipment. At first, I felt a tremendous guilt, but then, I realized that no one would appreciate his rig more than me. I listen to it, and think of him every single day with great gratitude and pride. The way I see it, I'm borrowing Bill's equipment. I will take care and hold onto this rig until my own time comes. That's the deal. Hopefully, there will be someone who will one day feel the same way I do now. We're bound by memories, this equipment and the sweet love of music. My condolences, Joseph
  11. [2nd episode] Robin: Gee wiz, Batman. Youthman did it once again! He upped the ante in his Youth-cave. What will you do, Batman? Batman: He crossed the line, Robin. I won't play second fiddle to no one. He'll soon realize what happens to those who ridicule the Bat-cave. Get PWK on the phone, Robin. That genius along with my team of expert engineers will put an end to this debacle, for good and all! Robin: Ooh no, Batman. You've already lost, and you don't even know it. (Robin thinking: perhaps Youthman needs a sidekick) Stay tuned....
  12. I agree with More Klipsch Please. The Chorus 2 is a great choice. Very versitile, and provides unbelievable power when needed. Of course, to get that great bass, you'll need to place them accordingly. I would also suggest the Forte 2's. They have even deeper bass than the C2's. However, the C2's will fill up a much larger room, and also, in my opinion, have a wider soundstage than the Forte 2. Do to its larger cabinates and woofer. At the end of the day, what matters is your ears. My opinion is subjective to my own tastes. Good luck to you, sir.
  13. Yes sir, the big one with (10 tubes) is a Yaqin MC-100B integrated power amp. The one showing in this picture ( 2 tubes) is a Yaqin SD-32A tube super hi-fi player. It can play regular redbook up to 192 kHz/ 24 bit. I also have a tube phono preamp that I haven't taken a photo of yet. furthermore, I'm also considering attaching a single tube onto my vocal chords for a smoother singing voice. Lol
  14. Yeah brother, I might have gone tube far. Lol
