  1. Yes--that is the horn adapter I used--There are six circles on the adapter, not holes if you space the out to every other one the line up perfectly to the holes in a Synergy Horn except the holes have to be drilled right against the throat of the threaded part to fit the horn.
  2. The hole for the horn is 1 inch--smaller than the predrilled holes in the adapter plate. To install any drivers on these horns and use the Synergy Horn mounting holes--which I used you will need to drill holes into the mounting plate right against the Hole Adapter Plate. Pretty Easy to do--I used a drill and a dremel. The dremel to make a space so the screw head can seat next to the adapter housing without being thrown off and seating crooked.
  3. I've had a hard time transferring these pictures but I'll show you what I have
  4. The Synergy are the Only Klipsch Speakers I have owned. Dean was very nice in upgrading the Very Cheap Crossovers Klipsch used. In all fairness to Klipsch--Their parts are not any worse than some other speaker builders like Infinity use use 5 cent capacitors to save on cost. Dean upgraded me with Mills resistors and Dayton 1% Polypropylene Caps. I didn't notice--that much of a difference at first--and I was allowing for cap burn in and a chance to break these parts in. The horn driver in a Synergy and probably the Best Buy Klipsch Speakers---are a 1 inch dome driver--mated to the horn. The Klipsch LTS 1 Inch dome driver was not good enough to deliver the sound I wanted and when you tried to push the "high end sound---AKA--AIR" it became screechy and sharp. It really was unlistenable--to me. So I removed a horn from the cabinet--drove to Parts Express--and consulted with a guy and we looked at all sorts of horn drivers and horn lenses that I might have used. My horn lense is about 4&3/16 inch square and so if I were to use a "Real Compression Driver" 4 inches was the limit for the circumfrence of any driver. Weight was the other factor because PE did not have any Horns that would fit the Synergy without mods to the cabinets. Also the cheaper Horn material Klipsch uses for the Synergy was a factor--would it support the weight of a real compression driver? I ended up buying an Eminence 1" HF Titanium Horn Driver Let me tell you--My Synergy's sound Great. With Dean's upgrade and the new horn drivers--These couldn't sound any better.
  5. I didn't use a kit or a design. I did a lot of reading and put a lot of thought into using the speakers I have and making them better. I'm an old guy and been messing with audio for a long time. I'm not nearly as smart as others on the forum but I know what sounds good to me. I bought the Synergy--after reading some reviews and got them for a very low price. I did like the sound but really thought they could be better. So I sent off my crossovers and had 2 parts replaced on the boards. These parts were for the high end. The other Radial cap on the board are for the shunt and do not affect the sound of the speaker--so it was NOT replaced. I installed the new crossovers and they were OK. Not as good as I had hoped for---It was the tweeter that Klipsch uses that were holding back the sound these speakers are capable of producing. If you read my install story about the size of compression driver choices I had to choose from--it was very limited--due to cabinet space and Horn Material that Klipsch uses in these speakers. If you're considering doing this and you have the same limitations for size that I had there is another driver you can use---it handles less power--30 watts--but crosses over lower and is made by PRV--PARTS EXPRESS NUMBER--294-2822. 30 OR 50 WATTS TO A TWEETER--is a lot of power. I run my speakers with a 50 Watt--Harman Kardon AVR and they get Very Loud. Besides--these drivers are inexpensive--so if you blow one the replacement cost is not a deal killer. After I installed the Eminence into my speakers I could not believe what a difference it made in the overall sound--It's like having a new set of speakers. I still thought the mid's were a little thin and the speaker a little boomy--that's when I did the redamping. You gotta be careful doing the redampimg so you don't KILL the sound of the speaker you like--You're just trying to bring out the best from the drivers you have. I used a small amout of material--placed where I thought--there's me thinking again--where I thought it would do the most good. It took "The Boom" out while leaving the Bass in and it really brought out the Midrange--All in all--These speakers are NOW very well "balanced"--They still have Klipsch Big Sound but are Cleaner and have much more sound Texture. They sound so good--I don't even use Bass or Treble--to me they sound that balanced. I can't say this will work for you--I don't know you system or speakers--I do know it really worked for me. If you have any other questions--I'll be glad to try and help
  6. Is the F2 the same speaker as the F20?
  7. Mine is always pleased when I add to the speakers BUT she didn't understand why I wanted to replace the LTS Tweeter that came in these speakers--Until she heard the new tweeters. This is one speaker I don't need to tweek--No added Bass or Highs I set everything flat and they Rock the House.
  8. My Sweet Lord--Are we going though this again?
  9. I read in Penthouse Forum where the nurses keep seducing sick guys. Any truth to that?
  10. It's a show I never marked in my Neilson Ratings Book -- Never watched it. Spoil Away
  11. Happy you're doing better--many of us have had good health--so to say until one day--UT OH--But we made it. Your good health is the most valuable asset you have. Stay on this side of the dirt.
  12. There is nothing wrong with elevating your speaker wires-- it gives the sound more "air"
  13. Cut Holes in The Wall that you can put the RF 7's in and side em in there. Problem solved.
  14. As a matter of fact--Something really good has come from this. I actually finished all the mods to these speakers yesterday. The last thing I did yesterday was redamping the upper portion of the cabinet with 18 inches of material on the back wall because it was bare. On the sides between the upper 6&1/2 inch driver and the horn--I used a 6 by 6 inch patch (on both sides of the cabinet) of insulation to tighen up the boomy bass that these speakers exhibit and to bring out the mids. All the while being careful--not to impeded the air flow pattern that klipsch designed into this speaker. The Results--These Synergy sound great---Low Volume or High-- The redamping I did made these sound great--The mids are as good as any speaker I've owned and now I am completely happy with the sound. I see where some of you are making fun--Be My Guest--I have the best sounding Synergies around. The work I put into these paid off in spades. If you ever come through Ravenswood West Virginia--Drop in for a listen--You might like what you hear.
  15. The headline made me laugh--Some of us used Vinyl before you were born.
  16. I agree the lower lines of Klipsch are way over priced. When I bought mine--I didn't know a great deal about the different lines. The only reason I bought them was for the price-- prices so low they can't be mentioned in public--- I did find a few issues and have been working to make mine a better speaker without going 12 to 15 hundred dollars in debt.
  17. Yeah, the font is too small for the text you choose to use and part of the problem is you're trying to get everything on a page that does not scroll---make the font larger--nothing wrong with scrolling on a web site. Red doesn't mix well with the green background--change it. All the pages do not need to be the same color. Some of the pages have too many words and need a little more "art" or something to break up the grey matter---seems like all the lines overwhelm you after looking at it for a few minutes--don't be afraid to be creative by using a few illustrations to break up the wordiness of the web page. On the Swampoodle Review page--Get rid of the RED--it's not working with the green background-- It might work if the backgrond was a different color--red can be a hard color to blend on the internet with other colors--try and color that is easier to read against that background. I'm not crazy about the smaller font on that page too. I might use a different font that is easier to read in the description. The Headline itself looks fine.
  18. I had Onkyo and Yamaha in my system and while they sounded OK they don't sound like my Harman Kardon--I ended up selling the others even though they Did have more bells and whistles. Now I have one in use and a new one in a box for back up. The H-K to me--sounds much more dynamic and clean.

Are you sure? From CBS News February 28, 2007 "We wanted to see if he was living by his own recommendations and walking the walk," said Drew Johnson, president of the think tank, which pushes for conservative economic issues. Utility records show the Gore family paid an average monthly electric bill of about $1,200 last year for its 10,000-square-foot home. The Gores used about 191,000 kilowatt hours in 2006, according to bills reviewed by The Associated Press spanning the period from Feb. 3, 2006, to Jan. 5. That is far more than the typical Nashville household, which uses about 15,600 kilowatt-hours per year. His Nashville home is more than four times larger than the average new American home built last year — about 2,400 square feet, according to the National Association of Home Builders. Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month, according to the Tennessee Center For Policy Research's release. That is more than an average American family uses in an entire year. THAT WAS JUST FROM A QUICK SEARCH---THERE ARE MORE STORIES--MORE RECENT- BECAUSE IT'S PUBLIC RECORDS----OK?

I doubt that, we went to his concert years ago and it was way different than any other concert we have been to. He came out, said hello and started playing, toward the end he said thank you, came back for a few songs thanked every again and left. Never said another word, the show was really good but unlike many no BS just playing. When we went to see the Eagles for the HFO tour about half way through they talked for 15 minutes, mostly political BS and the standard save the earth pitch. I would rather hear the music instead of political speeches, but the music was really good. Pretty typical of the entainment industry these days--while they use more resources to put on 1 show than most of us will use in a year--they feel it's their job to tell us how bad we are. Movie stars who talk the loudest use up much more of our electricity than we could. Al Gore's electricity bills run into the thousands--but he justifies his usage by buying Carbon Credits---but still he uses the resources and tells us how bad we all are. They're all a bunch of Hypocrites. IMHO

This thing really get's mixed reviews on Amazon. I hate it when they cut scene to scene to fast--that is a major complaint. I guess people have Short Attention Spans. I always thought the "Hell Freezes Over" Concert was edited well with good sound.

I hope he hasn't turned into a Paul McCartney type.
  23. I've been lucky since my wife depends on me getting the best bang for our buck. I've had a fair amount of gear pass through here in a last few years and we've settled on H-K and our first Klipsch speakers. The family could not be happier and I did not spend a whole lot of cash but I've have spend some time on the mods--it was worth it.
