  1. Some girls are pretty until they open their mouths and show what's inside. I'm tired of AL picking on Dean--- I would not do business with AL after reading his post--He doesn't have to be so nasty.
  2. I would not drive into metro Detroit if he Paid me 1000 dollars.
  3. Do you just have the one AVR? Did you test the other tweeter? Do Both speakers sound muffled?
  4. One more thing--If you "bi-amped" from your AVR--that will reduce power from each speaker output from the AVR so "clipping" will be more probable. Klipsch speakers are so efficient--in most cases bi-amping is really not required---Just use the jumpers on the back of the speakers so your AVR will put out more power--more power means less chance of clipping. Just something to think about.
  5. One way to test that is to put the working tweeter in the bad speaker and see if you get clear sound just don't burn it up---Hahaha
  6. The Numbers on the display of the AVR don't mean a thing--except for kinda being a guide. I think you probably did clip the speakers by running the amp too hot and it was "distortion" that fried the tweeter. It is easier to burn up speakers with low wattage AVR's than the more powerful models--especially if you are running more than two speakers because the power from the AVR decreases.
  7. Just wondering--maybe you clipped them and that's why you burned a driver. How much power were you running? Bass music can be very demanding on an amp or AVR. It might not be the speakers fault.
  8. I'm glad I was able to make peace--Today
  9. I think "all" these guys do really good work and the forum benefits from their knowledge. Now there seems to be some resentment and anger from some. Life's too short to carry on a feud. People that want after market parts and services will seek out these guys and get a good product regardless of who is mad at who. Isn't it time to quit picking at each other---pick pick pick--You're gonna get a scab.
  10. Did it make your TV Picture better? Would listening to Klipsch speakers on your TV make the TV sound better?
  11. UH-They are not posting a video of speakers for you to listen to--so you can judge the fidelity of said speaker. The video will only sound as good as the recording and the speakers you are listening through.
  12. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUURuA17n5E
  13. You know--I don't see how posting a video of your speakers for people to hear proves anything--- I don't know who came up with this idea but it sucks---Hahahaha
  14. Yes there are all things to consider but even to a dummy like me you know NOT to use cheap radial np caps in the crossover. Geez- some caps are really not suitable for speakers because they're crap--and competitors of Klipsch make great speakers for 400 dollars without using 5 cents worth of caps and still make a handsome profit. Klipsch still makes loudspeakers for 400 dollars and I wonder if the netwoks look like this? I bet if you paid that price you'd be disappointed at the Quality also---
  15. I can certainly understand your question. In my case--my speakers at retail price is 400 per speaker. Klipsch used caps in these speakers that probably cost them about 5 cents total. That is the problem. I have other speakers from a major manufacturer that use much better caps in their speakers that cost the same price. Personally--I was shocked to see what Klipsch used in these speakers for the crossover. My crosssovers are being upgraded right now with better caps. You would think for the prices that you pay for these they would spend a few extra dollars and put high quality parts in so customers would not need to "upgrade" internal crossover parts.
  16. People ask questions that have been answered elsewhere but this question is about their "own gear" and that is what makes it important to them. It also makes the forum "theirs" because you took the time to help them. They can read about other peoples experiences but they need their own-- kinda like you can tell a teenager about something you did but they have to find out for themselves. I've done the same thing---have you?
  17. I'm not saying the design of my crossover was "bad"--but the parts were pitiful--very low quality.
  18. A BIG GOOD COAT HANGER IS BEST----CHEAP TOO
  19. Yeah--CS is first rate--I put in a call and was going to buy 3 items after the CS Rep answered my question. No Return call. That's been two months ago so I guess my question was too hard and Klipsch must not need the sale. So I did what Cal did--came here for answers---It's better than Customer Service--CS they put the Cuss in Customer.
  20. My Klipsch are down for the moment--due to upgrade work being done so we're listening to another major brand while we wait. The other brand is a nice speaker and is the middle of that line. They don't sound as good as our Klipsch entry level speakers--to my old ears. The Klipsch is way more dynamic and clear--a sound we all prefer here at home. The horn speaker sounds more natural to us and we can't wait to get them back into our system. We're glad we brought Klipsch.
  21. Goes the THX symbol really mean anything to you? It doesn't matter to me if it is stamped on my gear or not.
