Even on youtube these things don't sound like regular speakers, they seem very focused over a fairly large area, like a mega point source studio monitor, with microdynamics that are insane.... I need a pair!

With the new modern skis its very easy to ski, I taught my wife and 7yr each in less than 30 minutes each, skiing backwards, having them hold my extended poles and I would push them back and forth teaching them how to turn. With 3 ski outings later my son was going down black diamonds.... Parabolic skis are very easy to use.

there are new 82's on mpls craigs for 600, I think there are 14 pair, don't know if its a good deal or not.... I know very little about this line...

Schu, nothing wrong with the k69 it sounds very good, its just that the Tads are more refined. The K69 in my small space is a little more forward needing more eq. I could live with either one. The Tads are definitely smoother and give you more of that holographic effect. I like the K69 also, and for the price is insanely good on the k402. I think the p audio drivers new were 300 a pair, the Tads msrp were 6000 a pair. JWC will try to get pics up today!

Just want to thank so many of you, for the info you have provided on Jubilees and clones . I would name names, but I would be afraid I would leave someone out. YOU ALL KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!! I finally hooked up the Tad 4002's to the 402's. This is sonic BLISS, so smooth, open, airy, clear, detailed, and a lot more information being presented. I could go on and on. For my tastes, this is the best system I have heard.

Thanks guys!!!! Didn't get them sounding right, the good news is the Tads do work, and I trust that what I have read about them is a truth. I have to play with the race software to make sure no inputs were incorrectly assigned to the dx38. Thanks again!!!!!

Thanks Chris!!! does this have to be done to set up the Tad to the DX 38? We need to convert the Q/dB slope parameters on the DX-38 chart for the TAD 4002 to a Q figure, not dB slopes. these guys think these terms are contradictory per the software published perameters

I have a few audio engineers out, and they think they need convert Q.s to db per octave slope? I always read these were plug and play, which I am sure they are, these guys are confused.... I want to hear these tads!!!! Any help would be great!!!!

This is such an interesting topic, I always wonder where the gavel will fall when I buy a new cd player. So much of it is about "yor ars and yor perception and your system and how "you like to hear" and your space. I am lucky, I get to hear great systems, with great recordings and flip players at need.. I have 30 yr old cd player that sounds better than some oppo's ,and, against some expensive Dennons ... We all have different listening ideals, for me I want to hear what others haven't heard.... I like to hear the mistakes in recordings and then I want to hear great recordings blossom into something unusual, that makes your hair stand up and moves you.....

Sorry Mark no pictures, I do know that he sent me pictures of the units with a meter on them, and they both read the same, and I could see the serial numbers in the photos. The one question read barely anything on my meter and produced no sound.

Babadono, that's a good idea! I know hooking up an ohm meter can tell the whole story with a driver, but Monty said he tested all of these. BSTS. Good luck!

Hey Coytee! Thanks again for all the help! Good thing is, this gentleman has so many of these he is sending a new unit out, that is fairly closely matched to the other one that works WELL, from what I have heard....The micro detail of the BE, Tad combo is astounding, with the 402....

Nope, UPS took care of one of the frams..... They are soooo lame...... Please elaborate. One of the diaphragms is damaged? All the way down inside this driver, damaged by UPS? I'm curious cuz I got a set also from same seller. So even if they read OK with a meter I have to visually inspect? Yes, all the way down in the belly of the driver.... must have been a "big hit" from UPS, Monty at THS, inspected it, and the fram was torn at the edge, a replacement is in the mail. They were packaged and labeled properly, but one of the CD's read open, so I sent it back.... sad to hear UPS trashed them.... rare frams as they are... You should be good to go if you are getting good readings.
