I've been using the Eminence 12LFA woofer in my last Super Heresy and HIP builds with great results. Just found out they have pushed the backorder to 3/15!! Was due to ship by today. Guess I will have to wait. Still looking for trim for this one. Can use old beater set from a doner HIP or can modify a set from a bass bin of an LSI! Keep an eye out for me. I am only on this forum and watch ebay. Might be something out there I am missing.

I am pretty good about wearing my safety glasses, but trying to see the chalk line with my old eyes is hard enough with my bifocals alone. Hence the head lamp. I also thought the shirt said "Tastey" that's why I wore it. Her safety advice is usually, "pet me, dont cut yourself, feed me, where are your safety glasses, feed me, who's going to get you off the floor, pet me,........" I start to tune her out.

Not sure what the "best" is, but I use the Dayton SA230. Since you bought 8 ohm speakers, it can drive both of your subs with it. I like the outboard amps so no crawling around to adjust crossover, phase, gain, etc. Your receiver has pre outs so you can loop the signal through the sub amp and back to your receiver. Fairly simple set up. About the right amount of power for those drivers. Many good options.

I have read that about the Ultimax drivers before, but there are a lot of ported designs out there using those drivers. Several versions of the Marty come to mind. Not sure who is right. I enjoy DIY audio because I like to build things but you can also run into a lot of misinformation from self proclaimed experts. This may be an example of that. 🙂

I was together with some long time friends out in the country sitting by the bonfire. We started to toast the friends we have lost. By the time we were done, the bottles were empty and we were toast.

I am partially color blind, so don't use the fancy 64 pack, it would be wasted on me. But circles and arrows help.

I lay them on their side and put the mains on top of them. I think you did something similar at one point with Heresy's.
