  1. I use a Weber Smoky Mountain 18.5. I removed the water bowl and also use a pizza pan, but have a terracotta plate for holding plants inside the pizza pan. Works well! I went to a BBQ contest in Evansville IN last weekend and St Louis BBQ Company was there. I checked out their site and found the Riptangle. I really don't need a bigger smoker but would like to try something different. I would love a 270 Smoker but they are kind of expensive for no more than I would use it. This one looks nice but its really just a square UDS. The WSM makes great BBQ but there are times when I would like little more room. https://www.stlbbqstore.com/the-riptangle-smoker-1/
  2. This chair is not real comfortable but you won't be in it long enough to notice.
  3. My first home was a tri level that was a much smaller version of that but with a loft. I had my speakers in the loft facing the open lower section. It sounded pretty good but larger speakers would have helped. Don't hate me but I had bose 301s☹️.
  4. Don't get one of those purple ones! All the people in your neighborhood will want to try it out! They bug the crap out of you! I saw how it was on tv.
  5. I like the pics thebes. In high school we would go get high before we had our our license pic taken. Thinking we were so smart that if we was pulled over with red eyes it would look normal😎. It did make the test harder lol!
  6. Im right across the river from Kentucky. Where did you live in Ky?
  7. It was a big deal with 200 to 300 thousand people there! Check out some of the pics online. It was on the banks of the walbash river so lots of nudity with the water and all.

  9. I wasn't old enough for Woodstock. I did get to drive up to Bull Island not far from here with my parents, but just drove up that way to check out the people. I was only 9 so don't mess with me for being with my parents lol. It was officially called the erie canal soda pop festival, and was going to be in chandler indiana, but was moved shortly before it was to start to Bull Island. It I was a mess up there, and the hippies got rowdy and burned up a food truck, and the main stage for charging high prices. My older brother who just passed went. I wish I would have asked him more about it.White duck did a song about it. The Bull Island Boogie.
  10. Looks like a good time! Ive thought about building a UDS. Do you use a diffuser in yours?
  11. All the best to You, Your wife, your family! Prayers also.
  12. They had my brothers service today. The last song was the eagles take it easy. Kind of made everyone feel a little better. People were singing along softly. It was a very good sendoff. Peace to all.
  13. I agree. I don't like salt on pork more than an hour or two so, If I add rub earlier than that, I leave the salt out and salt later. Salt to early gives it kind of a ham taste I think. You do need some salt, if you want a smoke ring.
  14. This is the rub I use. I might add little something here and there. I like some of the vids the BBQ Pit Boys make but sometimes they are kind of lax on being sanitary lol! This is pretty basic and about what most people use. https://bbqpitboys.com/dry-rub-for-pork/
  15. What kind of smoker? Using a rub? Pics!

  17. Thanks! He had multi tumor glioblastoma in his brain. He only lived with it a few months but im glad he didn't suffer long. He was a great guy!
  18. He fought hard but lost his battle, Keep tom in your prayers!
  19. If I need some backup I will give ya a call. Im not a small guy just getting older and wiser. I would rather watch a fight than be in one these days! They like to get guns involved also lol.
  20. Heres some thinner stuff. https://www.uline.com/BL_1773/Scraper-Entry-Matshttps://www.uline.com/BL_1773/Scraper-Entry-Mats
  21. Horse stall mat should work but it comes in bigger pieces than you need. I use a piece in my radio shack under my chair when talking on the air. Tractor supply sells them so it would have to work on a tractor lol! Or a Rural King or any farm store in your area. Im going to a the Keck-Gonnerman tractor show today I think. They made steam powered tractors back in the day. Put in Keck-Gonnerman on you tube and check out the old steam power in action.
  22. We were down in Jupiter Florida a few years ago and our room had a dehumidifier in it. It was like april and that thing would fill up in no time even with the air on.. I can see it in some areas and for sure near the ocean. My house was built in the early 80s also. Peace!
  23. Ive never really ran in to that here in Indiana. Our old unit was like this one and never had issues. It gets real humid in june, july, and aug but not that bad most of the time. I have my temp and humidity gauge right across the room so I guess if it gets stuffy in here I would drop it a degree or two like I do now. Or go buy a dehumidifier. As long as the humidity in here is around 60 or below im good. Peace!
