  1. In the corner, the sub turns into a boom box and not in a good way. Maybe because of the big rear port on it. I had an issue like that with the speakers too since they are rear ported. Once I move it further from the wall, it was much better. I was surprised with how much the RF82s fill the room when they are further apart. With the Synergy F3 speakers, I had to move them closer to the center speaker to get it to sound good. The weak point of the old system that lead me to upgrade was that center speaker and noticed a big difference in clarity in dialogue. Little by little I'm hearing more and more impressive differences. It is key for placement with these where the synergy line it didn't make much of a difference.
  2. So I spread out my front speakers and re ran audysee...I'm impressed! I ran all 8 positions covering my living room and cannot believe how good it sounds! I remember haveing trouble where sometimes the back speakers would be too quiet or the front too loud. Seems like by using all 8 poisons it got a great idea how my room is and it all seems to be in perfect balance. Going to be putting A1UC's blu rays to good use soon.
  3. Looks like accessories 4 less has a bit of everything !
  4. I think that is the main reason I would like this set. I remember you always mentioning how you like the Rf-63s so much. Nice thing is that this is the whole set and would only need a second pair of RS62 for 7.1 set up. It can be challenging to find discontinued items as I found searching for a good pair of RS52 IIs The RF-82 II set was the one I always wanted and a nice step up from the Synergy line, especially in clarity. Plus I have all the boxes in case I ever move to Chicago or Thailand. But I still wonder because the RS52s seem to be in demand if I were to sell those and the RF 82 and RC62 if I would get enough or close to enough to get this set. Seems like an awesome packsge!
  5. The question is would it be crazy to sell 3 month old mint condition Rf-82 II, RC-62 II, and 4 RS 52 IIs for this set
  6. I saw this today on Craigslist near me. Looks like a good set. If I didn't get all the RF-82 II set from Frys I would have considered this set. I don't know the seller but looks like everything is in good condition. https://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/ele/d/klipsch-reference-series/6215389455.html
  7. I don't have the latest reference premier speakers, but the RC-62 II is the matching speaker for the RF-82 II, the RP-250 seems like it would be a bit small. I would go with a larger one. Ill offer a different prospective, these speakers can easily last you 10+ years, so buy the one you would like to listen to for a long time.
  8. Arrived today. Didn't realize it was all three Godfather movies, excellent surprise. Thanks again !
  9. Good picture for reference. One other option could be facing the couch toward the window toward the back of the room. Have the TV in front of the window and the RF 82's to the side. Then the rp250s can go to the side of the couch easily on the big side walls. You may not loose too much of a view with that window being so big plus you won't have to worry about glare on your tv. If not, really the only other option I see is on the back wall on either side of the couch.
  10. I got the same set up. Nice! I got my front crossover set to 60hz and tone control I set bass on the front set to 2 and I like it.
  11. Funny Rivernuggets, I was about to ask him to add Rodger Rabbit......must have the same taste in movies
  12. I'll take Shawshank, Goodfellas, Godfather, mib3, and a few good men... pm sent Thanks Mark
  13. I have heard this on the forum before but didn't know what it was . Thanks for the video. For my speakers, I just went into tone control and turned up the bass a bit on the front speakers and now I'm happy with the bass.
  14. I'm in the same boat because my current blu-ray player is old and making noise now. I've been looking at the UBD-K8500. It's got great reviews, looks like it plays the new 4K blu-rays, and reviews said bitstream worked with this one. https://www.cnet.com/products/samsung-ubd-k8500/
  15. There is a metal connector on the back connecting the tweeter and subwoofer terminals, make sure that is in place so you only need to run one set of cables. If it is not, then the power Is only going to one.
  16. It's a little hard to figure out at first, but I have had the 805 for about 10 years now and very familiar with it.... you would connect it to the subwoofer in the pre out section. See the picture of the manual I included.
  17. Like the color scheme. Nice room man !
  18. It may not be scientific, but I feel if that design of the RS-62 is in the THX Ultra 2 system, stick with it!
  19. Would you hear any difference switching brands from an Onkyo to another one like Anthem or Marantz? Also, I saw newer receivers have dynamic eq, would that make a difference when watching movies? Now, after running audyssee I usually increase the surround a bit and sounds much better for the surround effects. Thanks for the input
  20. Wow! That first one seems to be just like the 805. Definitely a nice option.
  21. Currently I have the complete 7.1 reference setup and an Onkyo 805. Currently, I like that it is a beast of a receiver...lots of THX modes to choose from, Ultra 2 certified, lots of power and the Audysse calibration makes the Klipsch speakerd come alive. I bought it new from Circuit City back in 2008 and the box says it was one made in Japan. So far, it is running strong and I keep a computer fan on top to keep it cool. Recently, it has been making some clicking noises and I know there have been hdmi board issues. With it being 9 years old, I've been looking at newer receivers incase I need to replace it at some point. My question is how does a newer Marantz receiver like the 7010 or 7011 compare? It seems like I would be losing the THX listening modes, but would it power my set up fine? Also, I hear great things about the sound quality, would it be a nice upgrade? Second, looking around at reviews I came across this Anthem mrx 710. It said it had their own technology for calibration and had raving reviews. How would that compare to an Onkyo 805. Thanks for the input.
  22. Just thought I would share a photo. Moved things around a bit. I'm loving the upgrade from the synergy series to the reference line. I did have a question about a future upgrade. I current have an Onkyo 805 which is great, but going on 10 years old now. I was looking around at new receivers and saw an Anthem 710 receiver that had fantastic reviews on the sound quality. Would that make a good pair with the klipsch speakers and make a big difference? Currently, the 805 has plenty of power, auduysse XT room correction and Thx listening modes. I have also heard good things about Marantz recovers too.
  23. Wow! I was able to get another pair of Rs-52 II speakers.....so far sounds amazing! I'm finally getting the surround effect I was looking for. I was afraid they would be too close but so far so good!
  24. Looks like it was exactly one month ago today, February 5th.
