  1. "And to all a good night.

First four punkin pies inna oven. Eight more to go. The neighbors will be happy.....

Im not very good at baking cookies, but since I started shooting punkin pies around the neighborhood when I moved in three years ago, lots of Holiday plates of cookies have come to my door. Like casting bread upon de waters.

i dnt understand your post , sorry

@Fattner it was a request for info on the items in question by forum member @babadono,from forum member @dtel. By using the @ symbol followed by the members tag it alerts that particular member, as I have done you.

Dtel is closely aligned to the Klipsch Museum in Hope, Arkansas and has the ear of some who can perhaps provide info on this subject.

  3. I have been living for the past 25 years in two states with low property taxes: Colorado and Arizona. These low taxes have been reflected in shamefully low education funding. The tax rates have been well under 1% of market value.

I have a sister in Orange County New York who pays over 20k per year. I don't think her schools are 10x better.

Yes! I was hoping all morning that someone else would buy these so I could stop thinking about them oh well I guess there's worse things to have sitting around now I need a good active crossover

@Rudy81 has a pair of them for sale in the Garage sale section. The price he quoted me for the used one is very good. I would have gotten it but I do not have the extra amps I would have needed to tri-amp my Scalas, so it would have collected dust for too long.

  5. Thanksgiving is coming early to CAndler, Az. My daUghter and family are coming down from Colorado and she and her husband have volunteered to cook. My Mom is coming in from Jersey as well.

      The menu will be:

         -Turkey with stuffing

         -Yams and mashed taters

         -Green beans

         -Home made cranberry sauce

        - My scratch made pumpkin pies, famed throughout Colorado Springs, and my block here in Chandler, Az. With fresh whipped cream.

Festivities will happen this weekend, and will be attended by 80% of my children (4), two spouses, two significant others, four grandkids and my mom (The Great grandma) will be a noisy house, but fun.

  6. Many of the softball league I've played in, both in and out of the service, had a "Ten run Rule". If after five innings a team was up by more than ten runs, the game was over. This was less about mercy and more about time. Games were allotted one hour to complete, and new games started on the hour.

  7. The umpiring has been rather uneven in this series. The game five ump had a variable strike zone. Different from pitch to pitch. Last nights ump was consistent: he gave 1 inch on the high side, two inches outside, but squeezed the pitchers low and inside. Not ideal, but consistent. The interference call at first was justified by the letter of the rule, but I didn't like it. Almost put Davey Martinez in the ICU.

All that aside this is another great series. Not too sloppy, great pitching and clutch hitting. Too bad the Mets are not in it!

Yep.  Codes change through the years....especially if you live in the city limits.  If you live outside of them, things are a lot more lenient.

Indeed. When I had to have a water heater replaced in Co. Springs, I had to have a double wall vent stack installed as well, due to code change.

    Thanks 😊

Well they are here and they are sound fantastic. They have the b2 crossovers the soldered mid range driver. I got them for 700 and they came with a nice walnut klipsch 10" sub, fairly new Yamaha home theater receiver and Yamaha 5 disc changer. How'd I do?

$700 for the speakers alone is a very attractive price.

Might be a bit of a long shot, but I'm looking for a pair of la scalas in Tucson, I'd be willing to drive most anywhere in Arizona for a modestly priced pair.  Not in a rush to buy, but I am putting my feelers out there.   Feel free to reply here or pm my inbox, thanks.

A deal is out there if you are patient. The Phoenix/Tucson area does not seem to have a large amount of Klipsch Heritage speakers available, unlike say, Chicago. I spent eight months looking for a set of ForteII when I found a set of '78 la Scala. They came with Crites updates (crossovers and tweeters). The cabinets had some previous damage, but were well refinished. At $1200 they were not a "bargain" but were a fair price. In the past few years I have seen some minty sets in the $1800-$2400 range, and some distressed sets for under a grand. Depending on your price range, patience, and refinishing skills, you should find success. I am very pleased with the sound of my set.
