  2. That's a beauty @Tarheel. I'll put it in the alerts!
  3. Just last week I overheard that Thanksgiving was here. Wonder if anyone was going to tell me before the folks showed up Geeze, almost finished cleaning for all that are coming. We haven't had a decent oven in ten years. Bad whirlpools and bad sears ended my lifelong loyalty to those brands. It's tough cooking something for over an hour, I have to babysit it and vary the temp when it goes bonkers. Replacing thermostat and other under warranty parts doesn't change anything it's a bad company/product! Last turkey almost twenty pounds was a nightmare with this oven, can't afford a Viking just yet. So: https://mertscharlotte.com/ getting a fried turkey from these guys this year. Nice folks and good food although my cornbread is better than theirs!! Sausage cheese balls tonight, chex mix (kinda, the ingredients changed since long ago) & pumpkin pie tomorrow. She's making the pecan pie! Others are bringing the ham and the rest. Dang, how did grandma cook those literal feasts for her six kids and their families all of those years? I am grateful for that alone to start out with. Always fresh and good everybody had turkey sandwiches to eat for the trips back home.
  4. Like the room @Mighty Favog do it like we do our suits, dark when it's cold out, light in the summer! Keep the other pair stowed away in the coat closet. Super Juice Kryptonics on that skateboard? Looks about like my last skateboard that still moves furniture sometimes. Tracker Trucks and Kryptonics... Rad!

    SOLD

This is a deal people. If I had not picked up a decent Marantz to do the tv sound, I'd be working out shipping right now! Remember the Nakamichi STASIS integrated amps by Nelson Pass? Had one, an SR3A, marvelous and could turn it up to 3pm on the pot and NOT clip. I've got the CXA80 and I'll tell you the similarities are there with the build, timbre, richness and not Yamaha "Clinical" Sound.

    The Other Discs

This has always sounded amazing on any system I've had. I can only wonder how it sounds down under on the custom LS that Mr. @Full Range employs in his system!

You've got that right! I'll have to research that, not that I need duplicates, just read too much Curious George the the How & Why books as a kid!
  8. Excellent Information @thebes You Have a Happy Thanksgiving up there alright?
  9. Looking good, I like the raised ridge roofing that you put over the porch. Looks like it wraps around for the back porch too? You'll hear the raindrops a different way and darn, that's as permanent as slate and more durable.

1970s Rush none better. They did heavy rock with more evident musical content to it. How about the percussion in "Trees"! @Full Range do you know how those remasters differ from my original vinyl versions?
  11. Cherry Smoked Bacon is the best new to me thing I've tried in the past couple of years. Hickory Smoked my whole life and had the Applewood smoked several times, but that cherry..... man we had breakfast for dinner every other night when we opened the first package we tried!! Try that with some pork @dtel and yes it sweetens it a little. I don't mind cleaning the iron skillet after this stuff!
  12. Me included, though I'm told I was at my peak in the 90s!
  13. She didn't look quite that good when I met her. That looks like a 70s pic. I actually stopped and got to talk to her for three or four when we both lived near the northern causeway on beachside Daytona in the early 90s. She lived somewhere in the Rockefeller area of the island, I was in Ormond. On my bicycle I caught her in a good mood and told her she should have been the bionic woman. Pleasant, I was polite she was appreciative. She was gone within the decade. Only other super babe I ran into I swear she checked me out in my Silverado northbound 95 above Jax `round midnight. Yea I know, but I always traveled back & forth at night back then. She was in her Rolls and God Knows it was Markie Post!!
  14. The clouds have all moved out! Might have a chance of seeing some of the big ones this year!! Doesn't compare to being somewhere without light pollution sadly, but I've enjoyed that too.
  15. The depth of reality that some of the good artists can convey is amazing to me. @joshnich that one's pretty good, are there any on the sidewalks around there? The ones that some folks walk around the hole or crack in the cement when they're in a hurry?
  16. Then slushy with the temp going up!

Fortes & Cambridge. They go well together. Those have a very nice veneer on them. Stands look nice too! GLWYS
  18. This was a get drunk-watch a movie-have munchies-grab someone to wake up with kind of place! Good fried mushrooms and horseradish sauce. Mmm mmm good!
  19. HA, usually up at half `till to take a youknowwhat. I'd crawled back into bed this morn, it was 58 inside knew the heat was getting ready to turn on then..... BEEEEP BEEEEP BEEEEP Since I spilled some of the hot water out of the big measuring cup when pouring, my coffee today was stout! Trying another roaster now, this one is pricey but the coffee is very good right now. $40 for a pound and a half is too much for me for every morning. https://www.beluxcoffee.com/product-page-1/belux-special-blend The Colombian Finca is nice too.

    Roy Clark RIP

It's incorrect calling Mr. Clark a guitar virtuoso. If it had even a single string on it he could play it masterfully. Roy Clark, Stringed Instrument Virtuoso covers it fine. Saw him at Arthur Smith's studio playing with Arthur & Tommy Faile when I was a kid. Incredible person, incredible talent, very funny man.

    The Other Discs

Well...... These are tunes, synthesizer music, dance, *4g-tunes whatever you label it. Sounds nice in the background when I haven't heard this in decades.
  22. Yea the same as: https://www.amazon.com/Eva-Solo-Coffee-Neoprene-1-Liter/dp/B00009OWEV it was $30 cheaper when I picked it up, but man... grind it a little more coarse than for a paper filter, you get the oils that the paper takes out. It's not like a press but kinda between a drip and a press is immersion! ** @Tarheel If it's from 1968 still in the box, I'll be over there in three hours for it!
