IMO the mids are just fine in the Cornwall. Well blended, very smooth (listen to them all day smooth) and still plenty dynamic. No bothersome frequencies. This is also what I like about the heresys.

I love the fortes. Fairly affordable giant killers. I don't think you will be disappointed. Rf7 will surely have more bass, but the bass from the Forte III is a lot tighter and cleaner IMO. Highs will be much smoother and better blended. Mids will be a nice step forward as well. 3 Way versus 2 way. I prefer the sound of a 3 Way done right myself.... Mids cut though much better as long as xover transition is smooth.

Depding on just how bad they are, might be a great deal for someone. I remember all of the posts here about the hassles with communication to and from Adorama. I called to ask them a question and they never got back to me. First and last time I called.

I would tend to agree with you there. That is my thought process as well.
