  1. Thanks; yes to all Strange thing is that when I do an AVR speaker (sub) test, it blows me out of the room. But, when I play music it is barely audible Think my Onkyo has major problems
  2. @001 Thank you SIR ... updating now; will let you know
  3. Just did it No change Only have speaker output on L/R/C
  4. Haha; thanks Yes, just bought a Yamaha RX-V673 to use temporarily I'll take the Onkyo to a repair center and see what they will charge me to fix it - or I'll start shopping
  5. HELP OK; took the rear RB-75's off zone-2 pre-out and connected one directly to "speaker surround" out. Nothing So; tried "surround back," "height," and "speaker zone-2." NOTHING Only works off "center speaker out." (And yes, had it set to 7.1.2 so all outputs should have been working Haha, is my AVR "busted?"
  6. Thanks! Yes, already reset speaker crossovers ... used "50Hz" for my front 45Hz RC-7's. Will keep on playing with it Yeah, something is "off;" zone-3 does not work either Darn ... sub is "off" again
  7. Well, I'll be damned ... hooked the sub up again to sub pre-out and maybe it is working However, volume is pretty low as compared to the test signal which blows me out of the house. Hope it is not an intermittent problem which service centers never find
  8. Well, got some new speakers (RB-75's and dual RC-7's) and wanted to add my sub (Dayton 15" with Dayton SA-1000 amp) "back in." NO GO AVR is an Onkyo TX-RZ810; manual is here https://www.intl.onkyo.com/downloads/manuals/pdf/tx-rz810_bas_adv_manual_en.pdf . Subwoofer pre-outs do NOT seem to be working AVR is less than 4 yrs old and don't really want to buy a new one Pic of the back ... Did a lot of trouble shooting to make sure the sub and amp are working. Hooked sub up to L/R pre-out and do get sound - although not "full volume." Hooked it up to "zone-2," and better, but still limited volume. Hooked RB-75's up to sub pre-out (via cheap 50W class D amp) and seemed to get some music, but mostly static noise. So; anyone has any bright ideas/solutions? Many thanks, Emile
  9. Great; glad to hear ... think they are indeed an improvement over the K-510's
  10. Sorry; not 100% sure what you mean. Yes; pre line outs (zone 2) work just fine (split to Crown/KPT-904's and rears with amp). Just wanted to switch the rear speakers to "speaker out" AVR as I will loose my "rear amp." (Haven't done it yet as it is "murder" to get to the AVR connections Cheers, Emile
  11. Too early to tell. RC-7's are 7 ft high and horizontal. Hooked up the RB-75's yesterday on 1-1/2 ft high footstools - AVR line out, cheap Chinese amp, probably out of phase and maybe L/R switched). But, by themselves I was very impressed - of course just played them "loud," during a one bottle of wine session.
  12. At 10x11.8 inches footprint my vote goes to RB-75's - haha; just got a pair and am very impressed Next would be RC-7's placed on it's sides (9x13") - haha just got a pair of those also
  13. Yes; old post. But, just in case ... Xilica has an XConsole download AND AN ADDITIONAL USB driver download
  14. Awesome; learned something new. Thank you!
  15. Thanks; seemed like the "easiest" solution when I set it up originally. Zone 2 is a pre-line out, so assume it has all channels. Zone 1 (main) only gives me front/center/surround/back, i.e. no "full signal."
  16. OK; need some help please (Got some new rear speakers - RB-75's - and trying to figure out how to set it up.) FYI, original AVR (Onkyo TX-RZ810) setup was with (also new) L/R RC-7's (via speaker outputs) and rear Cornwall's. Rears were setup as a "pseudo quad" configuration using "zone-2 pre/line out with a separate amp and L/R and phase reversed. Sub (hardly ever used) is on sub preout. Zone-2 pre-line out also powers (via preamp and Crown K1) KPT-904's with a JBL HF section. Currently have the RB-75's hooked up the same way, using a cheap Chinese class D amp. Thinking off going back to a simpler configuration - i.e. 4.1 from my AVR, keeping the same KPT-904 setup. (Note; was running as a 7.1 many, many years ago.) Questions: 1. Can I run the rear speakers from the AVR "surround-back" terminals? Note; wire run to the back speakers is about 50-75 feet (across my attic). 2. Will I have "real surround" sound as compared to my earlier "pseudo-quad" setup? 3. More questions to come Here is a link to the Onkyo TX-RZ810 ... https://www.intl.onkyo.com/downloads/manuals/pdf/tx-rz810_bas_adv_manual_en.pdf ... haha; don't expect you to read all 105 pages Many thanks for the help and advise. Cheers, Emile

    What I Got Today!

OK; finally got my RB-75's. These are absolutely awesome Came from BC, Canada and survived the long trip. (Had the seller disassemble the tweeters ) They are replacing rear Cornwall's and not really much of a difference. No clue why Klipsch replaced these with much lesser 6" woofers and 1" tweeters. Cost-cutting I guess https://2d73e25b29782b6d6766-9c8af5cbfef16739445bc76457060528.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com/RB75_635042118963510000.pdf
  18. Left click the header ... then you can change it
  19. Hi Rhys, Voting for the MWM/402 system Note; have KPT-904's in my living room. Replaced the 510 horns with much larger JBL horns (close to 402 size) - haha, much better. Do not think TWO 904's will be sufficient for a venue of your size. (Believe they are rated for a small venue and about 150 people.) Maybe give us the size of the "room." Good luck; keep us posted. Cheers, Emile
  20. No "CBR," and 9.5/10 @carlthess40 got them so they are in "good hands."
  21. Great; congrats Haha, just got rid off my (cane grille) Cornwall's which I bought new in 1983. Had them as rear surrounds, but hardly ever used them
  22. No clue about the Rotel, but have CF-3's. But; switched from a Marantz 2252B (52wpc) to a Kenwood M2A (220wpc) and there was a tremendous improvement
