  1. If a forum member is interested, I could make the 45 minute drive to Flint to check everything out and/or to collect the item(s) in a van and store everything briefly in a warehouse until other arrangements could be made.
  2. Glenn, Go Wings! But, what if Illitch buys the Pistons and the Wings go to the Palace? Hope you, Verna and your mother are well.
  3. Congratulations and best wishes! Now port those La Scalas.
  4. George Takei had a funny line. He was telling how everyone from Star Trek was invited to his and his partner's commitment ceremony, but only William Shatner failed to attend. George assumed that Shatner wasn't able to get a deal on a plane ticket.
  5. I agree with Mr. McD. In the 70s, I owned 4 factory built plywood SKs (8 ohm) with aluminum squawkers and T-35s. The crossovers were pitiful, but the speakers were OK; as good as SKs got. Nevertheless, I'd be reluctant to pay much for used SKs today, due to the likelihood that they're owner built and poorly built. Good used Khorns are a better value and less of a shot in the dark.
  6. The removable ported back worked for the ones I did for the school. To not interfere with the port tubes, I mounted the networks upsidedown attached to the underside of the tops.
  7. Try this thread and the threads referenced in the thread. http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/p/76770/757339.aspx#757339
  8. Do your diaphragms look like the ones shown in the following thread? http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/117423.aspx
  9. Is there a red line (like from a marker) near one of the leads? If so, that's the positive lead. Failing that, at least make certain they're wired the same. That way you' ve got a 50% chance of getting it right. If you're certain they're the same polarity, hook them up and listen for a while. Then switch the leads to both tweeters and listen some more. If one way sounds better than the other, stay with that way,
  10. Did you enjoy the Dream Cruise or did the rain dampen your spirits?
  11. I don't think so. Comcast provided me with 2 convertors (at no charge) for the analog sets still in use in my house. See if they'll provide another convertor box. A splitter with one box won't help.
  12. A couple of Twizzlers wedged in the bass horn would help control the dreaded resonances from the sidewalls. Congratulations!
  13. Michael, I feel for you. You gave her a good life. Had she stayed a wanderer, she'd have met a similar fate years ago and not benefitted from the love you gave her these many years.
  14. Ace confirmed that he still has it. Apparently, the person inquiring about it made other shipping arrangements. See thread: eBay Cornwalls? $310 BIN? Real? SHOULD... Thanks for following up.
  15. Michael, Who took the nice photo that is currently your avatar?
  16. Jordan, That's very COOL! Your plan to get it matted and framed is a good one. By any chance do you still have the extra tractrix template we discussed long ago?
  17. Great News! You must be avoiding the meatloaf special at truck stops these day.
  18. Bump so forum member Johnhart can learn about, and possibly locate, the vault to protect his new CWs.
