  1. Felt like a lil bit of Rod Stewart tonight for some reason. Went into my "Dentist" mode and pulled a couple that popped out. "Ooh La La" was their 4th and final album recorded in 1973 and nice listen. Also yanked Rod's "Every Picture Tells a Story" his 3rd album released in 1971. Soooo many of his great songs along with that signature voice of his and all the members of "Faces" contributing caused it to spend 4 weeks @ #1 on both the US charts and the UK Charts (6 weeks). #172 on the top 500 all-time charts according to Rolling Stone's top 500? Maybe I got lucky? Ha! Great album!

  3. Thanks for the post Steve. Saw one of yours once before and was impressed. (Glad you got a cover on that wall outlet or maybe I was seeing things! lolol) Enjoy brother and again thanks!
  4. Mid 50''s here today, rain and kinda warm tomorrow then back down til the wkend. Maybe spring has sprung but who knows in this state!
  5. Too bad. She always did a stellar job on M.A.S.H. I kick back almost every evening and spend an hour watching on METV. She even taught Radar how to dance! hahaha Another one gone in my lifetime. Sad
  6. B1G hoops always sorts itself out near the end of the season. Drives me insane trying to analyze it on a game to game and the "well the last game they did this and that." Yea, it's a short drive for me.
  7. This will work! Love this guy! Paul Butterfield and band from 1972. Golden Butter was a great lp comprised of his best. Followed up w/the old standard "Rumours" released in 1977 and their eleventh studio album! Sales peaked at 800k per week making it the fastest selling album of that time. Groooovy!
  8. That ONE song prolly made the Stones more money than ALL of REO's put together. Just a thought... Grabbed a couple Queen albums earlier then gave up. News of the World was their 6th studio album released in 1977. Then their debut album from 1973.. Warmin up the tubes but don't know what's gonna happen. Ugh!
  9. Infinity Ref Standard 2.5's for me. Wanted LS in the 60's but no money. Today want new LS but no money. SSDD
  10. @dtel Great station right there brother! Been on it alllll evening. Thankies!
  11. Don't forget your shades Mark... Gotta be waaaaay cool in order to get into the proper "groove." Tie dye is also a must! Don't forget the pictures slick! Have fun! hahahaha
  12. Great read. Nice and tight, factual and clean. Sure there will be those that can't hear a difference but I'm sure there IS a difference. Glad you're enjoying them and welcome to the Forum.
  13. Buddy's kid is totally into buying and re-selling pins at outdoor venues. He slipped down to an outdoor venue I helped with this summer. He wanted to hear the groups, camp w/me AND sell his pins in the camping area during the downtime. I shook my head and laffed at him. So he tells me later he made $300 selling pins that afternoon. I guess pins ARE making a come back. Just not for me! lol Interesting thought though.
  14. “You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She's not perfect - you aren't either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break - her heart. So don't hurt her, don't change her, don't analyze and don't expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she's not there.” ~Bob Marley Happy Valentine's Day!

    Jokes?

Steve and I are in the same boat. Bah Humbugh to Valentine's Day! I saw the ketchup before I posted it and wondered "who" would catch it. Your toaster is on the way! No bourbon yet I just checked yesterday btw.

  18. @scalawag spinnin is what we do and teasing is also incorporated into that lil web we weave. Yuuuup, the Carpenters did their own thing in their own kinda way. Soft, smooth and delicious... Have quite a bit of their things myself. Stop in any time. It's ALWAYS nice to share and comment. Afterall, it's the love of music that's drawn us all here isn't it? We just KNOW what it's supposed to sound like unlike the rest of the world. Sooo, come on back now ya hear?
  19. Should be a nice tour with that gang. Has to beat the Stones @ $550. per ticket.
  20. One cannoli is done and on the way to find "Blonde on Blonde" I spied w/my eye this gem. "Alive She Cried" is their 2nd live album released in 1983. Yeaaaa, the push was on for some more Doors after the movie Apocalypse Now. They answered with various concert out-takes from 68-70. Soooo much music EVERYone can relate to. Can you say legendary? I sure can!
  21. BREAK TIME! Now do I eat 1 or 2?
