I was only able to see the single speaker that was outside on the porch. They have another indoors, but I wasn't going to ask the lady to let me inside whilst hubby was away. So who knows what shape that one is in, due to no photos of it in the ad.

That logo is actually embedded. Part of the laminate. The wood is swollen, the horns are not good, and the joints are all coming apart. Most things are made of particle chip board and the laminate is put on with carpet tacks. The top and bottom pieces on the horns are a thin layer of fiberglass that does not seal on the sides. The drivers are the only value, and there was no way for me to see the woofers.

And the answer is no, planes on treadmills will not take flight. It's all about how much air movement can be generated over the tops of the wings to create the vacuum needed for lift. On a treadmill the planes will stay firmly planted. You make the wheels turn fast, but in relation to the air the plane is not moving at all. *<;o)

Well, after a month of listening to them... ...they are fantastic. I'm feeding them via the 100W RMS mono blocks, and the sound is simply divine! They hold their own with the 3002's at the power levels I'm feeding them.

If you do decide to paint them black, do yourself (or a future owner) a favor. Spray a good layer of lacquer over them first. This way the black paint does not get into the grain of the wood, and they will be easy to restore later.

@Iteachstem It's a very good idea to protect your expensive electronics from brownouts, power drops and spikes, and from lightning strikes. I personally have 7 UPS, one each on every system.

I should have been clearer in my post. "Your" meant the all-inclusive. Everyone that worked on doing this upgrade, Chad plus everyone else who had a hand in it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the changes and the (somewhat) new look. I appreciate all of your time on the admin side doing upgrades like these, as they are never quite as straightforward nor easy as they are made out to be. A big "Thank You!" to everyone involved.

I think I would rather swap the post counts out, and keep the reaction counts. This will remove the impetus to simply post "Me too" solely for a higher post count. I think it will actually facilitate quality content over raw post counts...

It doesn't seem to be affecting the sound at all. I took it to mean that the box construction was still tight and has not been beaten up with travel and use. I will keep an ear on it.
