  1. I posed this same situation in 2 channel, thought I would toss it in here as well. I disassembled my set of '81 Cornwalls a few months back for a refurb. They contained the B network(B2T to be exact, I think). Anyway I seem to remember the tweeter or maybe the squawker AND tweeter being connected to the network out of phase with the woofer. I am also curious about my Heresys in this regard. Did I imagine this, or were they/are they supposed to be out of phase? I need to know because I have built a set of ALK E Type for the Herseys and B Type for the Cornwalls and want to make sure I connect the drivers to them properly. The Heresys have been completed for some time but I could not remember how the drivers were wired to the networks on those when I got to that step, so I wired them all IN phase. But, even with an SS amp the Heresys seem to be lacking in the high frequencies. I thought phasing may be the issue and have not had time to experiment yet. Thanks in adavnce for your input!

  3. Greg, What Wrench said, plus choose your three wood species wisely so you do not end up with a set nobody wants. I know you would never do that, but you know what I mean.
  4. Congratulations on your new babies Tom! I was wondering if you were going to hit some nasty weather heading up there. Do you take 99 or I5 when you head North? Just curious.

  8. That is funny Tom, I immediately thought of you when I saw where they were. Hmmm, I DO have a couple corners and I am about 3.5 hours away. Don't know that I could do that to the Corn's I am refurbing, it has been a real labor of Love. Would'nt want to cheat on them.
  9. Wow, that is really something special....there goes those damn goosebumps again.
  10. I just bought 2 yards of the OEM stuff from Klipsch for my Corn's and Herseys. Wanted the original, but it cost me $54.00 per yard to get it, YIKES!

  17. Gary, Well, I did it. I just ordered Deja Vu, Bob James Touchdown, Beatles Revolver, Duke Ellington & John Coltrane and Coltrane/Coltrane from Elusive Disc. Deja Vu is one of my all time favorites, but the copy I bought when I was a kid the day it hit the shelves is getting a little long in the tooth. Looking forward to all these.
  18. Good one Leeroy and you are absolutely right!
