Not sure on the glue ? It seems it would be a good idea.If its not a big hassle I would just request a new one(or two).I have the rf7's and will say I tried a lot in the 2 to 3k range,I chose the 7's.The louder you crank the better they sound,and they keep sounding better,for whatever reason.

The rf'3s are great speakers,I liked them better than the rb5's(although cherry 5's were pretty),I owned both.The rp's are also good,no match for rf7's,rsw15 by any scientific measurement.

Are you driving big 4 ohm's? Does the unit have the proper space/venting? Check wiring.If you drive Klipsch(easy load) you should not shut down.

Does the front feel loose?You should be able to carefully remove the rubber insert.I got a rc7 and the front was loose,I stuck a screwdriver in the insert,pulled it out,no screw(I think they forgot it).I put a 1/8 in x 3/4 inch wood screw in it and reinstalled rubber,no more problem.I gota say this was only a temp fix while I waited on the new replacement.

Although Gil makes a good case,I'd try to get all the good bass you can from the 3's,try 60hz and work up.Also if you like it loud thats great but make sure to use a good quality,powerful amp.

m00n,I also build from the foudation to the trim,I like to do it all.Yes it helps with fitness but as you get older it hurts more, so try jumpin jacks. Enjoy another day,safe boating is NO accident.

I have the 7's and they're great but,I can't see a good reason to go from klf 20 to 7's(considering price diff).Unless you love the looks of the rf's,as I do,Or you plan on getting the entire reference 7 series.

Have you had an electrician to check for any problems from lightning strike? Is it possible the electric box or wiring has a problem(not likely but possible)?This is a last resort after rechecking all connections,hooking up speakers,components,surge, all exactly as the instructions indicate.One final thought is most cheaper surge protects lose their ability to protect after a few strikes.Although they pass electricity,its not protected.Some newer ones are made to pass no electrical current after they lose their protect capability,its effectively all used up.These are just some thoughts,there's many possible reasons,Good Luck!
