To make a long opinion short,of the two, svs is a ground pounder,great for movies.The klipsch does not go quite as loud below about 30hz,but above it sounds much louder.Above 30hz is where most all music is so for ME the rsw 12/15 were the most musical I tried,of 6 comparitable $.This however is in my opinion and I found its best to test.

Please tell us what the problem was when you find out.

You have made a wise decision imo,unless you have substandard power supply at outlet you should be ok.Long before the 15 breaks a sweat your head will,I have mine at 50%on sub,60%on pre,and its toooo much,but I like it.Enjoy and let us know how you like it.

Sony wm40? try a string with a can and frisbee for dispersal,now thats an econo sub!I really don't want to knock sony but please don't compare to svs, klipsch rsw,velo etc.For someone starting on a tight budget it may do,but I thought we were talking about real bass output.

I have a 1205a with 3802 and klipsch rf7's for about a year and have not had any problems.The parasound amps are very dependable,nothin is 100%.I would triple check pre/pro outputs/settings,can you hook up another source to the 1205a?I also have wires inside the 1205a that touch this or that,never been a problem even when on for 24hrs at a time.The amp should have a ten year warranty, but I suspect something else is the problem,I don't know why.Good luck!

I know its been mentioned before,but incase you have not tried it STEELY DAN two against nature.I have about 150 concerts and it is as close to dvd audio as any I hve heard.

TRUE,the ksw ain't no RSW.Everyone has a different set up,room,requirements.For my mostly music set up I prefered the rsw 15,lots of in your chest power,and a nice message to boot.If you want lowwww,its hard to beat SVS at its prices and stellar service.I think the Ear will agree,the velo,svs,and klipsch are the ones you want,yee haw!

I hear ya,I don't think you have auditioned at home the rsw 15.For my money it blew away all others,even higher rated than the ones mentioned.This is one sub that ANYONE buying a quality sub should demo at home.

I just coughed up 1025.00 at my local auth dealer,875.00 delivered was my best etail price.But I get a year same as cash,no payments etc.

Welcome,the rf3,rc,rs3,rsw 10 set up you mentioned could be had for a little less than 2k.This would be a great start,maybe used on ebay is worth a look to save more.The forte's are are not a bad deal,I have seen them for a little less but maybe not in mint shape.Good luck!

I have tried the Oreck and found it does quite nice,it is light,powerfull,very easy to push.I don't own one(it was my neighbor Skull's) but for short carpet,pretty clean anyway environment,packing bowling balls etc,its great.I personally own a Hoover bagless wind tunnel,actually its my wife's.

The warranty should not be a problem if purchased new.Better to find out sooner rather than later.Be sure to double check all again,check fuse carefully.

The word sub I suppose does not really apply to my needs.I need a large speaker with lots of power built in that can handle lows in 99.9% of all music I listen to.I owned a sunfire and while quite good,I still would take the rsw 15 at the discount I got.The Ear is correct the ultra's have more output below the range I usually listen to than the rsw 15,no contest.But the cheaper svs I owned was not even in the running with the 15 for music.So,you get what you pay for,and any or all of these subs would be a great addition to most set ups.

AH,but can it pick up that rsw 15,ps they are going to start selling Oreck at best buy.hee hee

The rsw 12/15 would definately impress you.I have been through a year long sub search and it was my choice as I listen to 90% 2ch/5.1 music.My experience only applies to me and my set up.I can say it was the best I auditioned in my house hands down,it went up against highly rated subs to 2k.I can't give you a lot of audiophile speak,it didn't require any,it just recreated bass/drums the way I like.The price I assume stops many from auditioning.The 12 should be about $900.00,the 15 $1250.00.Also these two need big mains imo,they may overpower some small mains.

Maybe the rb 5 II,if space/budget is an issue.If money/space is no issue take the Ear's route,rf7's!

If you buy the 3803 you will be satisfied much longer,2802 is fine but you will probably want to upgrade sooner.

The rsw 10 at 1k ouch,I like the rsw's but you slould be able to get a 12 for 1k,if you buy the rest.good luck!

You should look at the denon 1803 or 2802,either is faaaar superior.Also put your money in the rf7's.If you had one of these avr's and rf7's,then you are on the right track imo.good luck

No rsw boom,just lotsa bass,sounds just like my bass guitar.I play bass,and the rsw 15 recreates the same sound very realisticly.Not so with some others,they have great roar but are not musical to my ears.
