  1. I see it. It looks pretty bad. For those who can't see it, scroll to your right. The picture is pretty big for those who don't know. CD
  2. Also to help you get a ballpark area, I got all 3 of my RF-7s for $2025. I would buy more but money is a problem. I hope your friend can get a good deal on his 3 new speakers. CD
  3. yromj You got that line off of a movie which that line was funny when I heard it. Well, even if I did take your advice it wouldn't work. I have girls that like me as a friend(as well as others who hate me)and nothing more that. But don't look at this as a bad thing as I have gotten use to the fact and feel fine. But I suppose I should live a bit more then just doing a job and enjoying my home theater when I get home. But just to let you know, the whole Y thing only took me 30 seconds. I just thought I would share it. wrench_peddler Thank you for your answer. I was wondering what it might be. CD
  4. mOON The only thing I may have copied is your 3 RF-7s. I had this thought before but didn't think it was a good idea. Then I went to your website and I was like, thats so cool. By the way, the only reasons I don't like it is because it cost me alot of money and and I have to set my TV up high. But I love how it sounds. Sanman023 I think 6 RF-7s would be awsome as it is a dream I have. My room is about your size but I have more in it so its not possible at this point. 3 RF-7s are awsome 6 would be alot better. I have both RS and RFs in the back and I listen to the my RF-s more often. RS speakers have there thing, but RF speakers give more sound I think. Just my thoughts. CD
  5. I have seen this one line on the bottom of my center RF-7's horn thinking I wonder what happend. Last night I saw another line thinking, Ok, whats going on? Then I look more at it and the 2 lines I see are to perfectly done to be any mistake. Then I look more at it and see an upside Y. Sence I have 3, I checked all RF-7 horns. Looking at it again and noticed each side of the horn has a Y. Its kinda hard to see, but in the right light you might be able to see it. Does anyone here notice this? I have only seen this on my 7s, not my 3s CD
  6. The store I goto is called the Sound of Tri-State and I could get an RSW-12 for 1100 and they are Aurthorized. So I think you can get a lower price. Infact for a 100 more then what your store is asking for the 12, I could get the 15, which I did. Anyway, hope this helps. CD
  7. I have the same speakers you do. I set my RSW-15 to 12:00 with my mains set to small and it sounds fine. My reciver is between -10 and -20 for my sub setting depending on the source. What I would suggest for you is to get a disk with a low frequecy test on it and a decent SPL meter. I use a Radio Shack digtial SPL meter as an example. I also got my test cd at Stryke.com which you can test from 10hz to past 20,000 hz. My SPL meter was about 40 and my cd I think was 15. Use these 2 types of items to help balace out your sub and mains. Some people even use an EQ to help balance out their sub in the room. Anyway, I hope this helps. Good luck with your set up. CD
  8. I want to do a music DIY subwoofer and was wondering what is that makes a sub boomy so when I put it all together it sounds fine. It seems it could possibly be the box. But as someone had done on here, they switched sub in the box and it was less boomy. Could it be the sub? I suppose it could play a part. The amp, well I dunno know enought to say. I suppose it could be a combination of any of the 3. KSW subs are boomy when cut high, RSW subs aren't boomy but have a brace on the inside. Anyway, what do you think? Thank you in advance. CD
  9. There are now 3 differnt Dolby Pro Logic decodeings. Dolby Pro Logic which was mainly used for VHS taps. Pro Logic takes 2 channel information and spreads it around the 5 speakers. The front 2 are your major action speakers, center would be dioluge and your back your surround info. The other 2 are basicly the same idea but better done. Dolby Digital and DTS are the same way but instead use real 5.1 channel information is used instead of 2 channel. Each channel gets its own information instead of being made up. Neo6 is somewhat like Dolby Pro Logic. It uses 2 channels to make 6 channels instead of 5. THX is basicly Dolby Digital with a cirtifacation saying it will sound this good. THX IMHO may not be the best way to go as even my speaker set up will blow away most if not all THX certified speakers. One reason they are not is because they go below 80 Hz to well. Sorry, I hope I didn't make things worse. Its one of my major hobbies. But anyway, I hope this helps. CD
  10. Well, I have had this thought before. I would get 7 RF-7. Well, I like them I can't help it. 7 Pass Lab X 600 mono block amps. Posibly a Krell Home Theater 7.1 pre-amp or a Sunfire Theater Grand IV Pre-amp. A room 10 by 20 feet all prewired and a seperated room in the back to give plenty of space to connect everything. I love my RSW-15 so one of those. A Revel B15. Aerial Acoustics SW12. We can't leave the SVS B4-Plus out of this can we, so one of those. And I suppose a Velodyne DD-18. Because I like the drivers, A DIY Stryke AV15 sub tuned to 20 HZ. I would also get a painted wall for my projector and use a top of line RUNCO. I've seen one of models running and liked it. Wires, I guess I could use monster cable but only the lower models. Possibly 16-12 gauge. Anything else? I guess I could got a bit farther. AC conditioner and a 50 amp circuit for just that one room. Even get one of those higher end ac outlets. I guess thats it. I suppose I can add to my list later. So hows that mOOn? CD
  11. I have a friend who wants something a bit better then what they have now. There is a Klipsch dealer near by and I get an RW8 at $175 USD. The reason for the low price is the big scratch on the side of the box, other than that, its fine. Do you think this would work with 93dB sensitivity satellite speakers and used only for music? Thank you in advance. CD
  12. Belive it or not, there was a KSW-300. The other subs that went with it are the KSW-50,100,150,and 200,. I myself have the 100. The KSW-10,12 and 15 are updated versions of the these. The KSW-50 and 100 had 8 inch woofers. The 150 had a 10 inch, the 200 had a 12 and the 300 had a 15 inch woofer. I had my KSW-100 since 1997. Anyway I would suggest playing with the settings. For the Phase switch, set it to the one that sounds loudest. The High pass switch is for the RCA inputs and outputs. The Lowpass control is for the woofer it self. For the low pass, start at 40 and keep going higher and highter until it sounds right to you. KSW subs tend to get boomy when cut to high. Hope this helps the both you. CD
  13. I have heard both but never together. If my memory serves me right, I belive both the RSW-10 and RB-75 should match. The tweeter in the RB-75 would be better, but more bass in the RF-35. I think as long as you use your RSW-10, I would say use the RB-75. I have read good things about Harman Kardon. For 6.1 the most is about $550 and cheapest for 7.1 would be $800(from Harman Kardon). I know the power rateings are a bit low but they are true numbers(if not under rated) unlike alot of companies. Denon and Pioneer Elite are others to look at. As for the 5.1, I belive it should work, you just will be missing those 2 speakers. I would honestly love to move to 7.1, but I don't have the money for a new reciver. I do however am happy I have the speakers for it already. Anyway, good luck with what you buy. Compare and buy what sounds best to you.
  14. In my opinion, I belive the RF-7s sound better. They are bigger and will sound bigger. The RB-75s do sound good, but the RF-7s just have a bigger soud to them as well as more bass. I have heard both 3 RF-7 up front as well as 2 RF-7 and 1 RC-7 and I perfer the RF-7 as a center. The highs were fine but then lows in voices didn't sound as good. My guess is, if you went with all RF-7s it may sound more natural. Don't get me wrong, I like the RB-75s. I have been thinking of useing them for rears due to the smaller size and its horn matching with RF-7s. If space and money can allow it, I would suggest it. CD
  15. Well it seems the TV vote wins. So I guess my next thing is, which TV? I am really thinking of makeing the jump to the HDTV 32 inch. I think the model number is 32HF73. That is about as big as I can go in my room and my setup. Any sugestions on any other 32 HDTV that may be better for the money? I don't want to go lower then this in quailty thou. Also I would like to thank everyone for your answers so far. CD
  16. Well I am saving up money for something new for my system. Right now other then the stuff on my sig, I have a Samsung 14 inch TV. I am thinking of either a new TV from Toshiba. A 32 inch(and nothing bigger)flat screen, but I dunno if I want to jump to HDTV. Well I don't care to spend much more then $1200. My other thought may be an SVS PB-2 or Plus version. Maybe a Denon 3803 which I can get for a nice deal because I only have 5.1 and no DTS. By the way my room is about 13 by 11 feet. I play videogames and listen to music more of then watch movies. What would you get if you were in my shoes? Thank you in advance. CD
  17. Anything wrong with 5 RF-7 and 2 RF-3II? I might just get 2 more RF-7s. And I would really like to get another RSW-15 and speaker wise I would be done and work on other things. As you can see in my sig I can see the difference between the RS stuff and RF speakers as surrounds. The RF-s are more open and the RS seem to have its own sound with transitions. CD
  18. Just wondering, would about this whole 2 RSW-15 thing. How much more would someone get with a 2nd one? Me, I have a small room. About 11 by 13 feet. I have been wanting to but I dunno what I would gain. Well anyway,to the guys problem, Space wise the new PC-Ultra would be good and if looks are a problem PB2-Plus or Ultra would be a nice sub. So maybe WAF won't be a problem with the RSW stuff or the box style SVS subs. 2 PB-2 Pluses would be plenty I think. CD
  19. Well, I decided to goto a mall about a 30 min drive just to see whats there. I had some decent money to blow and looking around. I see these letters really big that looked very familier that shocked me. A sign that said BOSE on it. I was thinking."a bose store?". I can't belive there is a store with just Bose in it. Well, just for the fun of it I walk in, they ask me if I needed any help and me and a friend of mine say were just looking. Well, we walk alittle bit farther and I see this room that has a projection screen and what I wasn't sure if those were bookshelf speakers or what. They asked me if I wanted to listen and just for the heck of it I said yes. So I sit down and the guy tells me stuff about it pushes a button, tells me he has a surprise for me after the film and leaves. So me and my friend were laughting at some of the stuff they said on the little film. Well in a part of the film they remove parts showing these small cubes, left right and center and there "sub". Well, as much as the system sucked I think they did better. Also the cubes are smaller. They probly have 1.5 inch woofers in them. Belive it or not, I entered a contest to win a whole lifestyle set and figured if I won I would just give them to my dad or sell for half the normal price. I was telling my friend, I can't belive there is a bose store. How many of you have seen these stores anyway. CD
  20. Cool I am the first one to post it. I just wish everyone on this board a Happy New Year and I hope the rest of the year goes fine for everyone. RF-7's

I have a question on this whole power thing. Some of you say that haveing more power gives you more bass and tends to even out highs and lows. My question is, what if you have a quailty sub to do you bass? Would you need 200 watts for your speakers still or would you keep with your 100 watt/channel reciver/amp and get the same effect? I only ask because it makes me wonder if it would be worth haveing more power while I have a good sub already. CD

    RF-7's

Just to let you know, there is this one guy who used a 2 watt tube amp on RF-5s and never had to push it to its limit. But I may suggest maybe 80 real watts should give you more then you need but it should be there for dynamics. CD
  23. If I am not mistaken, thats a sub for the Promedia 4.1. The amp on the back is to connect the sats that useally come with it. So those are outputs not inputs. Belive it or not, it should be on the web site. If you put your mouse on classic produt a menu should appear. Click on promedia and some of the older Klipsch computer speakers should show up. The one you have I belive belongs to the 4.1. Hope this helps. CD
  24. I know Toshibia makes a 32 inch HDTV for under 1200 from Best Buy. The 36 inch is just a smige over 1500. Its 1519 and is HDTV ready. I hope this helps anyway. CD
  25. Well, I have a very interesting story to mine. I started out in a chat room as DCC as those are my initals. Well, some people started talking dirt about me and had some enimes. So I wanted to change my name. Something that has a word that stands for something. SaNG was my new which stood for Sweet and Nice Guy. Ok, it was the best I could do at the time. So later on it just stuck to me. So later on I went to make an e-mail account so my chat friends could e-mail me. So I tried sang and it was taken. So I wanted to use my initals but thinking someone might get that one qucik, I switched DC to CD and added my chat name SaNG and come out with cdsang. What do you think of my story? CD or should I use DC?
