  1. Would you be able to order a single H3? Is Klipsch going to encourage single speaker sales?
  2. Yes, I wish they would start making the Forte II again, but I would think they could improve it a bit. A new production of the Forte II would fit nicely between the H3 and the CW3.
  3. I agree. Also, the footprint is a big selling point. The bigger speakers will have a tough time in a smaller room for a variety of reasons. I have not been to an audio store in a while, but it is hard to imagine a lot of competition for a real wood three-way floor standing full range speaker costing about $2,000. Who is the competion besides the RF-7? Whether married or single, pulling the trigger on a good sound speaker is easier at $2,000 than $5,000.
  4. With all the talk about the H3 and a possible CW3, why not a F3? I think the Forte is a great sounding full range speaker for small to medium sized rooms. Can we generate enough talk to encourage a new model?
  5. I drive an '02 Honda Civic EX coupe w/ MT. If money was not a factor, I would get a Corvette.
  6. What kind of equipment was used in the test? Does it matter? When designing new speakers, is there a standard process or certain types of professional equipment to evaluate them? Or, would you use a variety of ss and tube components readily available to average consumer?
  7. I am content right now. But, the question becomes how long will it last. []
  8. You do not need lots of knowledge to own and operate tube gear. I know that I do not have a lot knowledge, but I am glad that I got some tube gear. Tube products can be set and forget it. You just have to resist the temptation to try different tubes and/or buy gear. Once you find something that sounds good, stick with it.
  9. I am not an expert, but I can give you my $0.02. I use a 2 channel system for music, dvds, and tv. I have a Scott 222C that I think sounds great. I wanted to go with a ss amp and tube preamp to have as a backup or main system depending on which sounded better. I got the Merlin and an older rotel amp. This combo bested the Scott. The Merlin and a ss amp sounds great with my speakers. I have not listened to the Cornwalls.
  10. I have ff 1.0.6 and have no problems either. When I first tried to post pictures, it did not work well. After I compressed the pictures, everything was fine.
  11. It was a great match to watch. Those drop shots cannot be stopped. Both players played well.
  12. Craig, I am doing great. The move to CA has worked out really well. I have been around reading the forum, but I usually do not post much. The 222C is great. I am loving it. You did a great job on it. Thanks []
  13. Scott 222C, NAD C521BEE, & Forte II [H]
  14. I want to hear the good and the bad, but I will make my own decisions. BTW I just purchased my Merlin yesterday. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Forte II owner since 91
  15. Santos Rosewood I like the contrasting feature of the grain.
  16. Good discussion about the Khorns, Cornwalls, and Heresy IIs; but, I still like the Forte II for my situation. I was just feeling left out. Go Forte II!
  17. It would be easier to focus on improving service at the store level. Can you image...drive-thru is down to system problems? More reason to eat at a casual dining place like chilis or better yet...at home.
  18. The NAD 542 is a nice cd player. I have compared it to my NAD T532 DVD player, and the difference is minimal. I could barely tell the difference with maybe a slight edge to the NAD 542.
