Welcome to the forum, Jabflat! It's great to have you here with us! Although, I am unaware of a specific mounting bracket for the HD 1000's, they do accept 1/4-20 screws in the center of their rear wall which is for mounting on walls or stands. Perhaps, another member who is more familiar with HD 1000 mounting will see your thread and chime in here with additional info for you. Best of luck and again, welcome! -Glenn

I agree with heli001: Middle Atlantic is the brand of rack we installed in our home theater. Our "ERK" model is a bit out of your mentioned budget, but there are many more-affordable configurations that should fit your needs. We ordered ours through: Markertek who freighted it to our house. Markertek also has other brands of racks as well. Best of luck! -Glenn

Roll call for June 8-9, 2012, Indianapolis
picky replied to Amy's topic in Forum Meetup Planning + Past Klipsch Pilgrimages
Hello everyone! It appears that Verna and I will try to make it to this year's Pilgrimage, even though I am still in school and still seeking work. We hope to see everyone there! We certainly missed not being able to go to Hope last year. See you then! -Glenn -
This video illustrates why it's so important not to tailgate, especially during adverse weather conditions. The car with the dash cam had plenty of time to react. -Glenn

Cornwalls IIIs or Reference Series for a 5.1 system ?
picky replied to ddafoe's topic in Home Theater
ddafoe: Since 2004 I've have an RF-7 based, 7.1 system using all reference speakers and an RSW-15 sub. It's a small room (10.5'w x 19'L x 7'H) and I love the way our system performs with both music and theater input material. I would call the overall installation 95% flawless. However, in 2006 my wife and I took part in the blind testing held at Klipsch Audio headquarters in Indianapolis and we discovered some time later that the speakers we both chose as superior were the Cornwall III as compared to the RF-7's. The Cornwall III's had a more complex, open, and airy quality to them that the RF-7's seems to lack a bit. I truly believe this is attributed to the Cornwall's 3-way configuration as opposed to the RF-7's 2-way design. Don't get me wrong; I love our RF-7's and I do not plan to change a thing in our theater. But, If I had to do it all over again and had slightly more room to work with rather than a 10.5' wide room like we have, plus a slightly-larger budget, I would definitely consider the Cornwall IIIs or even LaScala's over the RF-7s. Although they no longer make it, I would still opt of the RSW-15 sub as it pairs so well with the 3 speakers mentioned. I also own Heresy III's for another (tube) system I have and I love them. They'd couple beautifully with the Cornwall III's or the LaScala's! Best of luck! - Glenn -
Another Klipsch success story! I'm glad to hear you're happy with them. -Glenn

If you are interested in buying new, the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 system might be what you're looking for: (LINKY) I own Klipsch's Promedia 5.1 Ultra system which they've since discontinued and I love mine. If you don't want new, you may be able to find a used 5.1 Ultra for sale on the web someplace, too. There are now so many alternative out there relative to PC speaker setups. And, as you mentioned, you might actually have just what you need already. Best of luck! -Glenn

Fantastic troubleshooting, speakerfritz! What I have learned from your thread is: If, in the future, should I experience issues while any of my optical cables, that means it's time to buy a cat! [] -Glenn

Well, this should help them finally hide their paint flaws once and for all! ...and it adds 1,000 pounds to the vehicle. What a waste of engineering time and money.

It sounds like Rainbows work better on wallets than floors! Sorry, I couldn't resist. -Glenn

I also love our RSW-15 sub. It's not boomy, sloppy or lazy. It's very musical yet it can be visceral during movies when it needs to be and it blends so well with the lower end of our RF-7s that it's pretty much impossible to localize. The RSW-15 was worth every penny in my opinion. -Glenn

Although, not a Stayed Cable, at 5 miles in length, the Mackinac Bridge (Big Mac) in Michigan is the longest suspension bridge in the Americas and the 3rd longest in the world! http://mightymac.org/index.htm -Glenn -
