Looking for Chorus II's or Cornwall II's
Kartracer77 replied to ragjr's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
(ok, Heresies at $100) Did you buy them? -
I am looking at getting a new sub to replace 2 Polk PSW350 subs. I only want opinions on these two models only. I was leaning towards the Klipsch RW-12. Typo error on thread, should read SVS PB1-ISD VS RW-12

What are you looking to get for the T-500's?

Would YOU have paid $450 for THESE?
Kartracer77 replied to gullahisland's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
I am looking for a rough pair so I can get all of the drivers and xovers. I want to make my own cabinets for them. -

For increasing the cabinet size on the Heresy II, I would think that the results will be very comparable to the Tangent 500 model, They have the same drivers with the tangent having an additional 12in passive. The tangnet is rated as 35Hz-20kHz±3dB while the Heresy II is rated 63Hz-20kHz±3dB

could only wish a set like these would be with-in driving distance of Charleston SC. -
place your hand on the back panel of the speaker and turn up the volumne unti you get the bad sound, the apply some pressure against the panel. The glue may have come loose, the KLF series are famous for this. I had to re-glue one of my KLF-30s

here is a dealer in Crotia, Dont know the conversion rate. http://www.tel.hr/anatronic/price.htm

If they are 4 ohm then Wire in series then use your 8 ohm outputs from your amp. That way speaker load will match amp output load.

Are Klipsch replacement drivers available?
Kartracer77 replied to Treasure_Diver's topic in Technical/Restorations
I dont see the big deal on using Klispch drivers to replace advent drivers so long as the speaker parameters are close enouth to work. Such as finding a klipsch driver close to the following specs. PARAMETERS Re 6.80 <ê > Fs 32.86 F1 21.75 F2 48.70 Zm 52.31 <ê> D 162.00 Qms 3.43 Qes 0.51 Qts 0.45 Bl 11.49 L1K 3.01 L10K 1.07 Ms 48.19 Vas 28.87 dBSpl 85.66 Cms 0.49 Ma 48.00 FsMa 23.26 -

Cornwall was first introduced in 1959 and manufactured by Klipsch until 1985. Cornwall II was first introduced in 1985 and manufactured by Klipsch until 1990 -

Recommendations for bookshelf? Down to these 3...

I vote for the Audience 52SE for the bedroom and at low listening levels I feel they will be the best choice. -

"I've got 2 pieces of Original Monster Cable laying about! I bought it in college 20+ years ago. I'm not using it because it's green inside the insulation. Wonder what it sounds like?" I had some that I brough in the mid 80's, it turned green, Contacted Monster Cable and they replaced it free of charge, I just had to pay shipping cost of the old green wire to them, sent in 2 15 ft pieces and received back 1 35 ft piece. -

Oak, the 20s and 30 use the same 2 horns just different drivers, and different crossover points. I am going to look at a set of 10s, the 30 are just too bright/harsh for my taste.

I just called the shop, they have the rf-5 setup for demo and he is willing to setup the klf-10 for a side by side as long as I am serious about buying. Looking foward to this. He does not have the rf-7 in stock, not a good seller in Beaufort, SC
