  1. Very good, played it last night for some friends. They thought it was "unbelievable." And considering it used to cost about 12 dollars its well worth the purchase price. They did a great job with the two surround channels, the foot steps and voices, bells, coins, everything is very enveloping.
  2. You're sure that isn't just the default popping sound that windows uses when opening web-pages? And this isn't the forum for pro-media's its further down the forum list, you'll probably have better luck there.
  3. Yeah I did that, I guess the good news is, when I get a working pair they'll sound even better.
  4. How did you get the replacement?
  5. I guess I'll be contacting the store to see if I can get a replacement sent out. What do you think the likely hood of that happening is?
  6. I think the Tweeter on one of my rf3II's may not be working. After doing a little comparative listening it definitely isn't doing anything It's definitely still in warranty, I just got it from tweeter less than a month ago, what should I do?
  7. I feel sorry for my promedia's I haven't listened to them in a while.
  8. When the time comes I will get one as of right now, I'll make due with the one. Actually when the time comes I'll probably be getting at least dual ultras, alas the time has not yet come.
  9. I have the rf3II's with 2039 pci. In my room 13X18X8 music sounds much better with speakers set to small.
  10. I used to have mine hooked to the xbox, it sounds amazing.
  11. Seems to be a trend, my RFII's also have the "II" in the SN.
  12. That guy sounds like a crook, he doesn't actually do anything and he still gets paid half of his fee.
  13. I've got some V.2 400's i'd love to trade with you for those DIY horns! Or not, but that is interesting that a few pieces of wood can give you so much more volume.
  14. Hey m00n, sorry about all the ebay nonsense, it sounds like the seller really got swindled since she said she had the speakers tested. Oh, and can you thank your infocus neighbor for me? I just got an x1 and i absolutely love it!
  15. Just one question, with that setup how is the ornamental plate still in one piece?
  16. Well since its one time that's not too bad. The AVS forum seems to be smitten with them. Hope you enjoy them!
  17. Especially if you don't like them and have to ship em back. Or do they handle return shipping, cause that would be pretty seet.
  18. Well I have Rf-3's and they are 8 ohm speakers. And they have no trouble putting out a ton of base, don't get me wrong, I love my svs, but I could do without and still be over joyed. Make sure you don't the crossover set so ridiculously high that they aren't getting any base. I use 60Hz on mine, I would like to go lower, but that's the lowest setting on my receiver.
  19. That depends on what is most important for you. For performance regardless of bulk i'd say Dell is where its at. But if you want good performance in a truly portable laptop the VAIO is the way to go. Where I work we are currently using a whole mess of IBM thinkpads, 3 have broken sound cards, one's display stopped working and on the whole IBM tech support is lacking in support. So those would be my choices.
  20. Windows XP also has that nasty firewall that is enabled by default. Turning that off should help. You have windows XP pro right? The home version has very limited networking capabilities, not sure that is the problem but it could crop up in the future, especially if you ever need to use a cisco VPN client.
  21. Heh... HI. Don't search for "bose" using the search function of this forum. And are these high end like Synergy, or high end like Reference ,or high end like Heritage?
  22. You didn't change that when the receiver was on correct? That would be a major no-no.
