  1. Jimi was also left handed playing a right handed guitar w/o changing the strings around.
  2. I personally would take no less than $150 for kg4's in good working condition. If they have some cosmetic issues, they will obviously not fetch a high price, say $300+. The rear drivers are passive and the dust covers that are pushed in can be pulled or vacuumed out. They cannot be pushed out from behind as the center cannot be accessed from behind. I'm guessing $150 - $200 is what they will go for. $250 is the most I've ever paid for KG4's that were in even better condition than these. Good luck. Hope this helped.
  3. Even if the surround has to be replaced, not to worry. It is really not difficult to do. I have done several woofers. If I can do it, so can you.
  4. KG4 hands down. Just my opinion. I've only owned the kg4. No real experience with the ksf's.
  5. http://www.parts-express.com/home.cfm http://www.speakerex.com/ Try one of these. Got to be cheaper than a new woofer.
  6. I also am one of those people who can't take stuff in my ears. I also can't take something on my ears for long. I have owned Bose QC2 (around ear) and QC3 (on ear) both do a great job of drowning out airplane noise for me. I still have the QC2's because although the padded area does touch my ear, they don't put pressure on the ear lobes. I can wear them for about an hour at a time, which is longer than I can take any other earphone or headphone.
  7. Maybe you should edit your listing ato include best offers. That would give you a better idea of what ebay shoppers are willing to pay. Don't be afraid to make them a counter offer either. Good luck.
  8. Judging by the number of Cornwalls on Michael's wall. I will say that Cornwalls do bass well. They are huge though. What type of speaker are you considering? New or vintage Klipsch? If you are more specific. I promise you will get more specific (and serious) answers.
  9. My guess would be a KG 2. Does it have a 10" passive rediator on back? I think there were early models that had no passive radiator. http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/kg-2-specifications/
  10. I don't see a sub listed. Do you have one? That will certainly give you the "balls" you seek. If you have a good sub and feel you are still lacking, then yes, I would add an amp to my receiver. I added a Parasound 5125 to my HK receiver, and have not felt the need to upgrade further.
  11. Hooters in Tallahassee, FL has several KSF 8.5's as well as other interesting fixtures.

  13. All I can say is give it a try. Only your ears can decide. I had an old Harman Kardon 730 that was great with my Forte II's. Many on this forum have had great success with the HK 430, 630, 630, or 930.
  14. Eagle Eye would be one of the worst I've seen lately. Thankfully i got it from Netflix, and didn't go the movie theater.
  15. I used to power my front 3 with an rb-976. THe only reason I changed was that I got a 5 channel amp. I have some limited experience with both amps. I would think either would be OK.
  16. Sorry, don't know what was used, just heard about its deficiencies. I'm sure there are others who could answer that. Liquid nails should tighten them right up.
  17. It is very common as the glue used was substandard. If you search glue or klf issues, there are plenty of threads about it. I had the same problem with some KG 4.5's that had a similar build. I would not use screws, but I would scrape out the old glue and use some Gorilla glue or similar.
  18. What are you askin' for the board? I've got these cute little cube speakers with a bass module. I'm looking to upgrade.
  19. Welcome. You will notice things in your recordings that you never heard before. What are you powering them with?
  20. Tell us where you are located. I'm sure the nice people here can help you spend your money.
  21. If you do have the surgery, use a neurosurgeon, not an orthropaedic surgeon. Before my wife had her 2 lower back fusions, she talked to everyone she could. It seems that those who used a neurosurgeon had less complaints post-op.
  22. Pandora's sound quality through my Samsung BDP-2550 is much better than the Sirius channels on Dish Network.
