  1. For now, it seems to be fine. I was actually surprised this morning when I tried the music streaming from Apple/Amazon. "Alexa, play classic rock on cinema 1200", and it just worked. I always expect problems, or having to add a "skill" when adding 3rd party hardware to Amazon's ecosystem. If the system does act up, I will definitely reach out to Klipsch. I'm a techie, and somewhat tolerant of quirks I can work around. My wife is not, and her leisure time is too valuable to deal with unreliable tech. If it causes her trouble, it will be going back.
  2. Just received a new Cinema 1200 yesterday. Installed firmware matches what Klipsch shows as current. MCU v118 > WIFI 1.0.219.0 > DSP 5.4 > SUR T 82 > SUR R 82 > SUR L 82 > SUB T 03 > SUB R 06 > HDMI 43 Setup was pretty easy, though a bit clunky. First few hours of use were extremely buggy, mostly with the remote buttons doing random things. Volume changing night mode, and muting the TV instead of changing volume up/down, extreme delays when trying to make changes. Then it settled down and seemed to respond normally. This afternoon it turned on and there was no sound. Switching inputs to HDMI 2 then back to HDMI 1 fixed it, or maybe it just needed time. Can't really judge sound, as surrounds are not yet properly placed and I have not hooked up my existing subs. Testing was with the included wireless sub placed in a poor location.
  3. Other Cinema 800 issues encountered after a failed firmware update! I didn't have a lot of time to explore the sound bar features before encountering this failed automatic firmware update issue. This was my initial setup on my Samsung Q70R TV. TV HDMI-4 ARC - Cinema 800 Sound Bar TV HDMI-3 - Apple TV 4K TV HDMI-2 - Cable TV Box The TV recognized: I had a Home Theater connected. It supported Dolby Digital It supported Dolby Digital Plus It supported Dolby Atmos When I Selected Dolby Digital, it automatically switched to Dolby Atmos. It sounded great. I could disable the Dolby Atmos if I wanted to. After the failed firmware upgrade, the surround sound seemed to be different. I decided to change my configuration. This is my current setup on my Samsung Q70R TV. TV HDMI-4 ARC - Cinema 800 Sound Bar This is the setup on the Cinema 800 Sound Bar HDMI-1 - Apple TV 4K (with a Dolby Atmos stream) HDMI-2 - Cable TV Box (with a Dolby Digital stream) The sound from the Apple TV 4K and the Cable TV Box is great, especially Apple TV movies with Dolby Atmos sound. I assume the sound bar gets its sound directly from the connected devices and doesn't rely on the HDMI ARC connection. With this configuration, however, the audio and video is not synchronized. It is barely noticeable on the HDMI 2 connection but quite noticeable on the HDMI 1 connection. The TV has streaming apps installed including Netflix which supports Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Atmos. Prior to the failed firmware upgrade I could enjoy the surround sound from Netflix movies with Dolby Digital or Dolby Atmos sound. Now, When I check the sound output settings on the TV, there are several issues: When I check the sound output it shows Home Theater. If I select TV Speakers, it immediately jumps back to Home Theater. I can no longer play sound from the TV speakers when the sound bar is connected. When I go to my Advanced Audio Settings, I see the output format is PCM. Dolby Atmos compatibility is selected which means the TV recognizes the sound bar supports Dolby Atmos. I suspect the lack of Surround Sound might be due to the output format being PCM. Edited 2022-01-29: I have the option of selecting an output format of PCM, Dolby Digital, and Dolby Digital Plus which implies all are supported by the connected device. If I select anything other than PCM I lose all sound output from the sound bar. Going back to PCM and enabling/disabling Dolby Atmos compatibility also makes no difference. The only way to restore sound to the sound bar is to remove power from it and reconnect after a few seconds. After successfully installing the 4.9 firmware update this is no longer the case and I can select any of the formats. I have reported this to Klipsch Product Support but they have yet to respond. The Cinema 1200 can exhibit similar behaviour after a failed automatic firmware update. The other day I visited the retailer where I purchased my original soundbar. I was discussing with the owner the issues I was having with my Cinema 800. He had just received his Cinema 1200 a few days earlier and had completed the initial setup. He told me the soundbar had completed the automatic update and he hadn't notice any issues. He began to demo the unit for me. It sounded great but there was very little sound from the rear speakers. The soundbar was connected to a brand new Samsung TV via HDMI-ARC but he was using the YouTube app which doesn't support Dolby Digital. I convinced him to setup Netflix and use a Dolby Atmos movie to really exploit the Cinema 1200's capabilities. He did that but I noticed no difference in the soundscape. When we checked the TV's sound settings it showed PCM with no options for Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus. I had this eerie feeling of déjà vu. When I checked the soundbar it showed DSP 4.4, not DSP 4.9. A brand new Cinema 1200 is showing the same symptoms and behaviour as my Cinema 800. That should be proof enough that this issue is far more widespread than Klipsch Product support has been willing to admit. How they will respond remains to be seen.
  4. Welcome to the Klipsch Community forums. As I mentioned to JB19 in my previous post, review other Cinema 800 and Cinema 1200 posts. It's unfortunate but information is dispersed among a dozen different threads. The Cinema 800 and Cinema 1200 have a lot in common and you will find useful information in the Cinema 1200 threads too. Others have also reported that crackling sound. While the Surround 3 speakers could be defective, the issue might also be resolved with a firmware update to your soundbar which will update the firmware in your surrounds. The first thing you should do is Submit a request to Klipsch Product support. Describe your issue and provide them with your current firmware versions. To do that, see this article: Cinema 800 - How to Check Firmware Versions.
  5. Hi, I purchased a Klipsch sound bar 40” with 8” sub before the Cinema 600 came out. Should I upgrade to the Cinema 600 or is their a better sound bar like the 1200 with Dolby Atmos ?
  6. There is also DSP firmware... I hope Klipsch provided detailed instructions showing how to complete the firmware update? That is what I have noticed. Do not use the web interface to update your firmware. Have you verified that you cannot enable the LED display from your remote or using your Klipsch Connect app? If your LED display is completely dead you need to notify Klipsch. The LED display is needed to manually install firmware updates. It may be possible to complete a firmware update without the LED display working but it would be a hit or miss attempt. Have you read the Cinema 1200 Knowledge Base articles? See Cinema 1200 - How to Check Firmware Versions. I realize this may be problematic if your LED display is non-functional. You may be able to use the web interface to verified the installed firmware versions. These are the current versions reported in that link: MCU v106 > WIFI 1.0.209.0 > DSP 5.0 > SUR T 82 > SUR R 82 > SUR L 82 > SUB T 03 > SUB R 06 > HDMI 43 The Cinema 1200 - "PLS UP DSP" Message Knowledge Base article describes how to update your DSP firmware. I hope this information helps...
  7. If you are updating your Cinema 800 firmware, BEWARE: The WIFI firmware link downloads the WIFI firmware for the Cinema 1200. The Cinema 800 - Firmware Update document shows this for the WIFI firmware update: The link you see is the correct link. If you click on that link the firmware downloads but you don't really see what's happening. If you just follow the instructions and rename the file to image.swu you may never notice the wrong firmware was downloaded. I copied that link and pasted it into my browser and this is what I see: https://pubklipschfirmwarefiles.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/Cinema-1200-Soundbar/ProductSupport-WIFI+151+-+Cinema+1200+-+2022-02-09.swu That is the same link found in the Cinema 1200 - Firmware Update document. That firmware definitely will not install on the Cinema 800 and you will see no indication other than your WIFI firmware version will not be changed to "151". I know, because I spent a couple of days trying to get it installed! To get the correct firmware, use the URL in the document and not the embedded link. @Klipsch: How can you be so careless??? Yesterday I notified Klipsch by email. As I am about to post this, I wanted to verify the link once again and I see the link has already been silently corrected less than 24 hours after I sent my email. The document makes no mention that the link was wrong or that it has been corrected. I decided to post this anyway in case anyone downloaded the wrong firmware in the past 10 days. If you did, just download it again and you should now get the correct one.
  8. I just updated my Cinema 800 a couple of weeks ago with the latest firmware from Klipsch. The Cinema 800 and Cinema 1200, while different products, have many similarities and similar issues. I have not seen any Release Notes from the Cinema 1200 firmware documentation. These are the latest firmware versions for the Cinema 800: MCU 107 > WIFI 1.0.209.0 > DSP 5.0 > SUR T 04 > SUR R 11 > SUB T 03 > SUB R 02 > HDMI 43 While this firmware hasn't resolved all my issues it definitely is an improvement. These are the release notes on the firmware documentation I received from Klipsch for the Cinema 800. Resolved "no sound after prolonged standby or mute" issue, requiring a power cycle Addressed crackling in surround speakers User experience has been improved. FACTORY RESET now scrolls when device is reset. Night Mode and Dialog Mode now preview the current setting before changing. The bar no longer endlessly scrolls UPDATING when an update is installed. Sometimes the update would cause the bar to no longer power on - aka “bricking.” This has been addressed. No longer scrolls "Network Not Detected" when bar is actually connected to network. Bar no longer wakes up in "CAST" mode, even when not casting from a device Resolved issues related to Mesh Networks Updates to Google Play and Spotify support
  9. The same thing happened to me. I don't think the Cinema 800 or 1200 were shipping at the time I got my Cinema 600. Unfortunately, the Cinema 600 died after a few months. One of the reasons I chose the BAR48 was because the specs said it supported Dolby Digital Plus which can provide CD quality audio. While many of the BAR48 issues I reported had been resolved with the the Cinema 600, it doesn't support Dolby Digital Plus so it is actually a downgrade from the BAR48. The Cinema 800 on the other hand...
  10. Hi everybody.Im writing from Germany and im the proud owner of a Cinema 1200.In the past i used the German Manufacturer TEUFEL for Music and Movies and decided to try something new.Got my soundbar 2 days ago.Unboxed and connected everything.Bar was freezing, not connecting right, remote wasnt responding to adjust volume level.Read this topic and started with diving on the Klipsch Support site also in the forums. We dont have that much german forums or informations about klipsch products.Tryed a lot of things. And now im done with my adventure of updates and fixes.wanna share my experience with you guys.I follow the steps of the following link. https://support.klipsch.com/hc/en-us/articles/6733616086292-Cinema-1200-Updating-Older-Firmware I must say,all works fine.FOLLOW the steps shown in the description.I use my soundbar with a digital optical cable.NOT HDMI (have a philips 4k tv where the eARC has bugs, not possible to update the firmware right.) i know that i cant use the atmos feature over toslink.Later when we buy a new TV then i will try it again. so good luck with the updates.its simple.would be kind if i get some feedback about positive success.
  11. If you wish to submit a bug report you should Submit a request to Klipsch Product Support. The responses you receive in these forums are from other users, like yourself, who may have information they are willing to share but we don't have access to any internal Klipsch documentation, especially any information about how a feature is supposed to work. As you might imagine this makes it extremely difficult to determine whether a specific behaviour is normal or due to a bug. As Klipsch has updated their firmware the soundbar behaviour has changed. For example, if you wanted to check a setting selecting it used to activate the next option then show you that setting. Klipsch finally changed that behaviour so that the first press of a button did nothing other than show the current setting. The setting was only changed when the button was pressed a second time. While the sound modes do change the sound, Klipsch has said little about how this works or exactly how the sound has been altered. This is especially true for the Cinema 700, 800, & 1200 soundbars that have many more modes from which to choose.
  12. Hi, I wanted to share my story of issues with the Cinema 1200 soundbar. Long story short: I now have two Cinema 1200 soundbars that both don't work at all now. I have purchased one in October and have issues since day 1. I should point out that the customer service team have been very helpful and are clearly doing their best--however, there is clearly some firmware/fundamental issues in the Cinema 1200 that have not been sorted out. I would love to know how to escalate my issue to get this sorted out--so if anyone knows how I get more visibility outside of the Customer support team, please let me know (Can I email the CEO, a product manager, firmware engineer--anyone to help?) Here's my story: I purchased the Cinema 1200 in October from Crutchfield. Mounted it on the wall, everything seems great at first. I notice in the first week that sometimes the soundbar will just stop playing audio. Sometimes a reboot will fix it, but often when I turn it on it has a "high pitch whistle" and no audio. Usually off/on and reset and holding down the on button would fix it. I also had issues where occasionally, audio would stop in the center speaker and all audio would divert to the rear right speaker. Back and forth with Crutchfield, they said they needed 3 separate calls before they will replace it. I realized it would be faster to talk with Klispch. We did a bunch of trouble shooting over a week or so and eventually they agree to send me a replacement. Which does not arrive until late Novemeber. Around this time, I discover that it is Atmos content that is a common trigger (but not exclusively). Something like Bridgerton would cause a crash frequently, at specific scenes. Eventually, around the start of December I get my replacement speaker, so I set it up to test. Any atmos content would not play at all. The speakers would just crackle loudly and I would get bits of audio interspersed by quiet or crackle. I look at the firmware versions and see that it is older than my original one I purchased, so I figure it's just a firmware issue. I goto the Klipsch website and follow the instructions to a tee to update all the firmware (There are 3: DSP, Wifi and something to run if the LED is bricked). Two out of the 3 work fine (Wifi and the LED one). The main one, DSP, fails every time. Figuring it was an seperate issue with the replacement, I try updating the DSP firmeware on the old speaker. Now both speakers have DSP 0.0, play a high pitched whistle when turned on and play no audio whatsoever. I have now spent weeks with support, I have probably spent 10 hours flashing different USB sticks, following instructions and trying different combinations of "wait times" for the flash to work. Customer support even mailed me USB sticks with the new firmware installed (4.9(, but flashing would still not hold for either one. So now, I am waiting yet again for my call to be escalated to some technical team, it's now been 3 days since that point, and about 3 months since I paid $1700 for what was supposed to be the best soundbar on the market, and right now is a large paper weight. During the long wait for a replacement and all this troubleshooting, I can't even get my money back from Crutchfield because they have a 60-day policy. So I am in a pretty bad position, where I am out alot of money with nothing to show for it. Well, I do have video and audio recorded of these issues--it's not pretty. I'm not trying to cause a scene, I simply just want to have my Cinema 1200 to work. It's been a frustrating experience and I have gotten alot of sorry's from support and I know they are doing their best--but I need a product manager or engineer or manager form the firmware team to help. Or something.
  13. Hi @DevinS Welcome to the Klipsch community forum. Have you had an opportunity to review the many Cinema 800 articles Klipsch has provided? Yes, It was removed a while back. The latest firmware can't be installed if the currently installed firmware is too old. If that happens to be the case, Klipsch will provide you with intermediate version that will then allow you to install the current version. To insure you are given the correct version to install, Klipsch wants to verify the version that is currently installed before providing you with links to the new one. These are the current firmware versions for the Cinema 800: MCU 107 > WIFI 1.0.209.0 > DSP 5.0 > SUR T 04 > SUR R 11 > SUB T 03 > SUB R 02 > HDMI 43 Follow this article and record the firmware versions that are currently installed on your soundbar: Cinema 800 - How to Check Firmware Versions Next, Submit a request to Klipsch asking for links to the latest firmware. Be sure to provide the versions that are now installed on your soundbar. This is an issue with the firmware that was initially installed on many new Cinema 800 and Cinema 1200 soundbars. Thankfully, this issue has been almost completely resolved with the latest firmware update. Please let us know if this information helps you resolve your issue.
  14. @Ashley, Welcome to the Klipsch forums. There have been two firmware updates to address known issues since DSP 4.4 but Klipsch has removed them from the website because they have created additional issues on some soundbars. Klipsch is working on new firmware updates which, hopefully, will be available shortly. If the Cinema 800 and Cinema 1200 have a connection to the Internet they will try to update the firmware automatically but most of the time it fails. The workaround is to install the firmware manually. The procedure is described in the link you provided but, as you now know, it has been removed. Please contact Klipsch Product Support. They will notify you when new firmware becomes available. They have also provided some customers a link to DSP 4.9 as an interim solution. For more information, see the Cinema 800 - Landing Page and review other Cinema 800 and Cinema 1200 posts.
  15. I'm running version 1.6.9 and have the same problem. When I connect The Fives to subwoofer for the Cinema 1200, I can't reduce the bass sufficiently. FYI: The Fives are superior to the Cinema 1200. It truly is a soundbar killer, or will be again when the subwoofer issue has been resolved.
  16. So a week ago I got the Klipsch Cinema 1200 sound bar system. I'm not really overly impressed with the system that is in my bedroom, however it does bring the rear channels alive more than my main system does IMO. Here is my main question, I have 2 RB75's and the RSW15 in my bedroom now. I also have a pair of RS7's that I'm not using. With the 5 of those and a center channel speaker would make a better surround system for the bedroom. What do you all think would make the best center channel speaker for the setup? I can't find a RC7 that isn't all beat to hell for the life of me. I was thinking on getting either a RC3 or RC3 II center channel. I'd love to find a RC7 for the bedroom setup or if anyone in here has one for sale or can find me one would be great. What are your thoughts on getting either the RC3 or the RC II for the bedroom system? My thoughts are getting the RC II and I found one for sale and it's in excellent condition. All of the speakers would be hooked up to my older Onkyo TX SR701. I await your thoughts...............
  17. I LOVE my Klipsch Cinema 1200. I got mine for $1499 July pre-order price from Audio Advice and it arrived in early August. Fantastic audio! Can't say that enough. The horn loaded speakers project clear sound throughout my living room, which share open space with dining room, foyer and even kitchen area. I keep the sub on "+2", to have a strong presence. (Keep in mind, the one YouTube review which said the sub was "too powerful" was using pre-release firmware. That review is outdated, as far as the sub is concerned.) I really appreciate the Dialogue Clarity modes. I keep that on +2 (of 3) because too many directors like to emphasize music or explosions over what the actors are saying at critical plot moments. You can easily adjust every speaker, including the 4 Dolby Atmos height speakers through the remote control. The build quality is excellent. Wooden enclosures and love the choice of sound bar end caps. Everything is classy. With 1200 watts, this system has 5.1 surround sound equal or better to my previous 1,000 watt 5.1 Sony system, but with the addition of real Dolby Atmos front and rear speakers (not virtual). Thus 5.1.4. Also has two HDMI inputs besides the HDMI eArc. This isn't just a soundbar, it's a system which re-creates a theatrical experience. Soundbars systems like this are becoming the new audio/video receivers -- the junction of various equipment like TVs, gaming consoles, UHD Blu-ray players all connected. ==== The only quibble I have is a few times in the couple months I've owned this Klipsch Cinema 1200, I've had no audio after muting/un-muting related actions. I will often mute soundbar for several minutes for a phone call or something that needs my attention -- and then when un-muting, the LED display shows volume numbers like there's audio, but there's not. I have reported this intermittent issue to Klipsch, but putting it here in this public review may get faster action. Twice I have muted, and actually turned off the TV/soundbar because the other task was taking longer than I thought. Then when I turned back on the TV, the soundbar LED display showed volume numbers (no longer muted, allegedly). Which is also strange because I had muted, but not un-muted. But hitting volume up and down there's still no audio. When there's no audio like this, then hitting the mute button and un-muting does not fix the issue. Audio is still gone. The other 4 times (so far) were just simple muting, then unmuting a few minutes later. Did not involve turning off the TV while still muted. However, in all these instances turning offf the soundbar with the remote, turning it back on does not restore audio. Cycling through HDMI sources does not restore audio. ONLY actually turning off the electricity (power plug pull) and plugging back in makes the soundbar audio return. I've now installed a power strip behind the TV with only the soundbar plugged into it, so I can easily turn electrical power off and back on for when this happens. I do not want a replacement. I love my Klipsch Cinema 1200. I think a simple firmware update could solve this issue. Something with the muting function is timing out when muted for several minutes and only hard electrical power turn off/restoration brings back audio. Something is timing out. I think a firmware update would fix if if they focused on the muting commands. Just this morning (10/15/2021) I turned on the TV and soundbar and there was no audio. This is the first time it's happened without muting being involved. I turned off the power strip and turned back on. Audio restored. Just to make sure, I first turned off the soundbar with the Klipsch remote and turned back on, but that didn't do anything. Hard power off/on fixes it. Again, I really love this Klipsch Cinema 1200. The one intermittent problem can probably be fixed in the next firmware update.
  18. Sorry, yes I am still under the 90 days to return it. I just expected more out of the Cinema 1200. I do hear a lot more sound from the rear speakers over my living room setup. All I really need is a center channel and I could have a decent setup in my bedroom and save my self about $650, just by buying a center channel. I guess I expected more out of it. The signal processing is really good in it though. I don't hear as much coming from my RB75's in my living room setup. I use a pair of RB75's as my rears in my living room setup.
  19. Your RB75s are exceptional speakers, I think you need a better center speaker, like an RC62ll or better. Don't care for the Cinema 1200? Can you return it?
  20. Ciao a tutti, ho recentemente klipsch 1200. Ho controllato i valori del firmware attualmente ho: Versione firmware MCU: MCUfw_76 Versione firmware HDMI: 42 Versione firmware DSP: 4.4 Versione Sub RX: 06 Versione Sub TX: 03 Versione Surr TX: 79 Firmware surround sinistro: non disponibile Firmware surround destro: non disponibile. Ora ho provato ad aggiornare andando sul sito. https://support.klipsch.com/hc/en-us/articles/6733616086292-Cinema-1200-Updating-Older-Firmware.the bar is giving me problems right now it doesn't respond anymore you have commands and it restarts. I managed to see the values after the update now I have dsp 5.4 and mcu 118. but the soundbar is giving me problems. I ask you for help how to restore the old firmware again?
  21. Cinema 800 web interface after installing firmware update to DSP 4.9 I've been playing with this and completed a couple of firmware updates. These are the details. The first step is to get the IP address assigned to your soundbar: Open the Klipsch Connect app. I'm using the iOS version 1.9.2 (100). Go to: Settings. Go to: PRODUCT INFORMATION. At the very bottom you will see your IP address (assuming you have already setup your network). Open your web browser and go to: http://<your IP address from step 4 above> You will be presented with the Main Page: I have chosen not to display the network info. Even though I'm using a private IP address, all settings can be accessed and changed without any authentication. This is the Device Settings page: Device Name will be used to identify your soundbar when you do a Bluetooth pairing. Check for Update tells me my firmware is up to date - nothing else. File lets me select the firmware file. After selecting it, it appears to install the update but I don't think it actually does. Reboot device to the Update Mode displays this: This is what appears after the page refreshes. I will begin with part 1 of the update: Choose File lets me select the firmware file I want. Reboot Device starts the update. Part 1 of the update completed very quickly: about 2 minutes. This is the result: Note: SUB RX version: SUB TX version: 00 SURR RX version: 00 SURR TX version: 00 Part 2 of the update: After I clicked on Reboot Device the update took 3-4 minutes to complete. The green area is a progress bar. As it expanded to the right additional lines of information appeared in the main part of the page. When the webpage refreshed this is what it displayed. While this appears to be the Main Page, it is not. There are no Network settings shown. When I went to the Main Page, all my network settings were as they should be. It's unfortunate that all of this is yet to be documented. I can confirm that the firmware was successfully installed. This approach is much faster, easier, and more reliable than the manual install using a USB thumb drive. Note: The web interface never did show a value for SUB RX version:, nether before nor after the firmware update. When I checked the versions on the soundbar they matched those shown in the Cinema 800 firmware update article and are different from what you should see on the Cinema 1200. Cinema 800 - Firmware Update MCU 92 > WIFI 1.0.146.0 > DSP 4.9 > SUR T 04 > SUR R 11 > SUB T 03 > SUB R 02 > HDMI 43 Cinema 1200 - Firmware Update MCU v92 > WIFI 1.0.146.0 > DSP 4.9 > SUR T 80 > SUR R 80 > SUR L 80 > SUB T 03 > SUB R 06 > HDMI 43
  22. What's everyone's thoughts about this system for a bedroom setup? I currently have 2 RB75's and 1 RSW15 with an Onkyo TX-SR701. Looking to have more of a surround sound set up in there instead of stereo mode. https://www.klipsch.com/products/cinema-1200-sound-bar-and-surround-system?gad=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwmZejBhC_ARIsAGhCqnclFKS4tVnPoM_HwTKBqmgDpFFEBfugr35MKBLzqu48fe7IydDuPDEaArSzEALw_wcB
  23. I'm sure that Cinema 1200 would sound excellent. Hang on to your RB75s!
  24. Thanks, I'll read them. Having owned since August 2021 (I pre-ordered in July 2021 at pre-launch price point and received a month later), I was one of the first in the U.S. to get the Cinema 1200. Luckily I pre-ordered from preferred partner Audio Advice. They and Crutchfield were the only retailers for MONTHS to have any stock. There's a another forum I won't mention but you can probably guess, where there's a running Cinema 1200 thread going since August 2020 -- a full year before release. Discussing, anticipating, deciding... Then when actually released, more discussion and pictures. What kind of speaker stands are best, etc. As well as any problems, of course. Bottom line is, I love the sound. I love the power. I keep my 12" sub on +2. I plan on keeping my Klipsch Cinema 1200. But the intermittent issue with the no audio (especially the muting/un-muting bug) is irritating. I also should not have to use USB drive for a 45-minute session to update the firmware. But luckily while procrastinating doing that is when eager beavers started reporting the new firmware breaks the remote control functionality for rear Atmos speakers adjustment. The only reason I upgraded from my previous Sony 1000 watt 5.1 sound system (with wireless rear speakers) to this Klipsch 1200 watt 5.1.4 soundbar system (with all wireless speakers) was because of Dolby Atmos. (And this Klipsch was the only soundbar system with more power than my Sony system, not less.) So I'm certainly not going to install firmware which negates the only reason that I bought this. 25. Thanks for the thorough and thoughtful response KevinB. I'll try a few more things. When I first purchased the Cinema 1200 in the fall of 2021, my 5 year old Samsung TV didn't have eARC, only ARC. So I could not get Dolby Atmos transmitted to the soundbar if I put my cable box and Firestick into the TV. I had both the cable and Firestick connected to the soundbar HDMI inputs then HDMI from the soundbar to the TV. Well, the glitch here is every time I turned on the equipment, the soundbar would play from it's own HDMI inputs for a few seconds but then switch to "TV". Work around was to use Klipsch remote to switch back to "HDMI"...every time. Klipsch recommended putting the cable box and firestick inputs into the TV, not the soundbar. A few months later I purchased a new Samsung TV with eARC and now the new batch of issues. As Kurt Vonnegut wrote, "so it goes". I agree. The Cinema 1200 really does sound good when it's working. Almost makes the glitches and workarounds (plug/unplug) tolerable. I suspect Klipsch is working to provide a new firmware update since the previous one is no longer available. I'll sit tight for a few more weeks to see what happens. Need to weigh that against the wife yelling, "the sound doesn't work again, come fix it!" Since we're talking glitches, I'll add another one. I really enjoy being able to switch to bluetooth with the remote and listen to music from my phone, but the last time I did that the subwoofer stopped working. When I switched the soundbar from bluetooth back to "TV", the subwoofer was still not working despite a solid blue LED on the subwoofer. <sigh> unplug/plug got it working again. The salt in the wound for me is my previous Definitive Technology soundbar with Playfi was full of glitches too. (The wireless subwoofer stopped connecting, it was out of warranty, so I finally scrapped it.) I purchased the Cinema 1200 to replace it. Again, biasing sound quality over software. My mistake evidently.
