Downsizing my collection so this is up for sale. It's a 15" Klipsch woofer (I'm not sure which model) in a custom built box made of MDF and Walnut Veneer. It's ported and the box is pretty well made (made by a local carpenter). Has a very high WAF as well since it doesn't look crazy and has a nice wood grain on all sides. Also included to complete your setup, is a HSU Research Model 500 Amplifier. It's has 500 watts and can be configured to your unique set up with multiple hookup options. I do have the original box for this. In addition, I have the following crossover chips included: 34hz, 51hz, 75hz, and 62hz (not pictured as its installed in the amp). Bass on this setup is great. Very deep, low, musical with plenty of power to rock the whole house if you so desire. Amp alone was $500 and sub and box w/ sub could easily fetch $200. I'm selling the whole setup for $350. Due to size and weight of sub and box only local pickup in Santa Clara, CA (40 minutes south of San Francisco). It's also set up so you can come audition in my home. For sale my Klipsch Jubilees w/ K402 horns , Complete with 16ohm Faital HF200 HF drivers w/ Custom made Crites Crossovers all in great condition. $6000 plus ship These are exactly the same as Bob's Jubilees so those that have heard his can attest to how they sound. Constrained layer damping on the back side of both K402's, anyone with these big horns will benefit from doing this. Both the bass bins and horns are consecutively numbered. Located in New Mexico. I have the means to transport them to a reasonable radius maybe 5-600 miles .

RP-450C has followings: Crossover frequency: 500Hz/1500Hz Frequency Response:58-25kHz; Does it mean: 1. Tweeter's Frequency range (1500Hz ~ 25kHz) 2. Inner 2 woofers' frequency range (500Hz ~ 1500Hz) 3. Outer 2 woofers' frequency range (58Hz ~ 500Hz) As illustrated in the attached photo. And do Voice/dialogue frequencies handled by inner woofers only ?

Hello, I've had an SW-12 since 1993/1994. It had been working very well until about two weeks ago. About two weeks ago, it started making two kinds of noises after it gets warmed up for a while, like 6 - 35 minutes. One kind of noise is static-like and the other kind is what I'd call crackling kind (could be the sound of clipping). These noises come on whether any source is connected or not. Until these noises come up, the subwoofer appears to work as good as before. Once these noises start, none of the controls (LEVEL, PHASE, and LOW PASS) has any aural effects on the noises as far as I can tell. I've plugged the power cord of the unit to many different wall outlets in my 2-story house and also with or without my computers, cable modem, router, etc. ON, and the problem shows up anywhere. So, I'm leaning towards ruling out things like ground loop or interference from Wii-fi, etc. as the cause of the problem. Even after the noises show up, the source material keeps getting reproduced as usual. I suspect the problem has something to do with overheating of the amplifier because they don't show up immediately after I turn the unit on. Also, I found one area of the top plate of the plastic cover that covers the amplifier has a sign of getting soft before, but I have no idea when it happened. I have connected the speaker leads inside to a regular speaker and the noises came on, so I'm ruling out the problem lies with the subwoofer's speaker unit. I have cleaned the pots for the controls fairly well, too, so they're probably not causing this problem either. I'm now concentrating on the amplifier. As a starter, I downloaded a service manual of SW-12 and SW-15. It's here: http://www.audiolabga.com/pdf/SW12-15 I.pdf Pages 15-17 are the schematic of SW-12. The top portion of Page 16 (Sheet 2 of the schematic) is the part I'm concentrating on [labeled DRIVER CKT filter driver bd.] now because the location of the cluster of 4 transistors (Q7, 8, 9, and 10) coincides with the previously softened area on the amplifier's plastic cover and also the area on the circuit board these four transistors lie on is not burned badly but dark brown. (Each of these transistors has its own little heatsink, so they are probably known to get hot, but maybe with my unit, they may be getting too hot to affect the performance of other components in the amplifier.) Now, I'm completely clueless when it comes to electronics. I'm hoping that someone here can help me with questions I have about the schematic and electronics in general. Tonight, I removed the amplifier and measured about a dozen resistors' values with the unit turned off without any source signal being fed to the amplifer. Since my multimeter can't test capacitors, I'm not going to mess with capacitors now. Obviously, I don't want to remove any components from the circuit board to take their measurements if I can avoid. As far as I could tell, there were no apparently damaged components or suspicious solder joints. Four resistors caught my attention, though: One is R45 1M. It's first resistor on the DRIVER CKT (on the left on the schematic). When I take a reading, the value is only about 109K. Here is my first set of questions: 1. Do I need to remove at least one end of R45 to get an accurate reading? 2. If it's faulty and I install a good one, would it make any noticeable difference in the circuit? Two other resistors which give different values than the specs' are R74 and R73. Their values should be 2.7K ohms according to the schematic and the parts list in the service manual. My meter reads about 1.42K ohms. Here's my second set of questions: 3. Do I need to remove at least one end of R74 and R73 to get their accurate readings? 4. If they're faulty and I install good ones, would they make any noticeable difference in the circuit? And here's my final question for tonight: 5. If you were tackling this problem, where would you start? Thank you in advance for reading this post and possibly offer some answers/advice/suggestions. On the other hand, the small heatsinks on the four transistors on DRIVER CKT get too hot to touch.

I did a full MCACC Pro calibration after properly placing all speakers (5.1 setup), the Pioneer AV receiver detected surround sound speakers (RP-250S) as a large tower speaker ! Should I keep the setting for these surround speakers Large as calibrated or change it to Small manually? I know the RP-250S is strong and has deep bass. Need your opinions

Hi guys! this my first post on this forum; I bought 5 days back a home theater 5.1 Setup with Klipsch reference premiere speakers (RP-280F, RP450CA, RP-250S & R-115SW) and A/V receiver is Pioneer Elite SC-LX901. I am glad that I purchased Klipsch speakers; they are amazing. I never heard such a natural sound like these speakers as well as the heavy bass of the sub-woofer. I bought Pioneer SC-LX901 so that I will upgrade my home theater after one your to Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 Setup. now my only concern is Do Pioneer SC-LX901 is best choice for these speakers since these speakers required 150W while the receiver is 140 W/ch (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, THD 0.08 %, 2ch Driven FTC) Please Advice me !

Two floor speakers. Good condition. Both Signed. One speaker has a scratch on the top but other than that they're in great condition. I live near Dallas. They're heavy and difficult/expensive to ship but if you're within a few hours drive of Dallas I'll certainly meet you half way.I know nothing about them but I contacted a pro who said "If those are in great condition those would be worth $2000 for the pair. Yesterday I wandered across this article about Chipotle restaurants using Klipsch Heresy's for their sound system. This intrigued me; I'd only visited a Chipotle once, about a month ago, and failed to notice the Heresy installation or the sound. That should be a subtle indication that the sound wasn't impressive, which is contrary to my experience with Heresy's I have in my condo. Fast forward to today, when a coworker and I were out on a service call and he wanted to eat at Chipotle for lunch. I thought this would be a great chance to revisit the sound system. It didn't impress me at all. Thank goodness Klipsch didn't demand a logo be placed near the speakers; it wouldn't be good advertising. I think it's the acoustics of the restaurant and the speaker placement which killed everything about the Heresy that I love. While you could argue that, at background music levels, that you won't hear much to impress, I think otherwise. One wall was brick; the ceiling was all steel and girder beams. With the speakers mounted away from any boundary walls (the plywood fascia didn't count as a contributor in my eyes), there was no bass reinforcement. Chipotle could pretty much have tossed the woofer and not affected the sound. I know some people consider the Heresy light in the bass department but that hasn't been my experience. The live acoustics muddied the sound. Here was a case of a sound system thrown together without any professional advice as to the application and installation. Taming the live acoustics would be one component of the solution. Since placing the Heresy's at floor level wouldn't be practical and I don't think ceiling placement would improve the bass either, the addition of a subwoofer, hidden behind the plywood architecture is almost mandatory. I wonder if LaScala's replaced the Heresy's in the same location would add that tactile bass at background music levels? Something needed to be done otherwise the Chipotle/Heresy marriage is nothing to brag about.

Hello all. I am looking for advice on my sound. I have a Pioneer Elite SC-81. I am running the Klipsch Reference series from Best Buy. 28's for mains , R15 bookshelves for rear, R25 center and R12 subs. My issue is that music sounds great but I don't seem to be getting very good sounding dialog from my Dish Network from this system. Is the pioneer powerful enough ? Do I need to upgrade my center ? If so will mix matching series create any issues ? Upgrade my HDMI cables ? Thanks in advance !!!

Also it worked out to $25 for shipping in the Ebay calculator. He then contacted me to counter my offer and to tell me how rare these are. He would go no lower than $300 for them if I was interested....but he won't ship them.? ? ? This fellow then went in and made changes to the listing. They are now more than double his original asking price and he still has shipping available. What a stretch to think he only has a feedback rating of one....lol

I've been shopping for a pair of used Klipsch horn speakers for awhile now and finally found a pair of Klipsch KG5.2 two-ways in my area. The seller was asking $300 for the pair, but when I went to check them out last night I noticed three small tears in the surrounds of one of the woofers, less than half an inch each. The surrounds didn't feel brittle or break apart when I pressed them lightly so I think they might have originally been rubber, not foam? Hopefully someone can chime in to confirm. The other three woofers looked fine, and I think the speakers sounded great, although it was my first time listening to horn-loaded tweeters so I might've missed something. I talked the guy down to $200, but I'm wondering if that's even worth it? I found a pair of replacement foams here for $25, plus the time and effort to learn how to do it (it'll be my first surround replacement). It could even be more if I decide to replace all of them. I guess my question is, is it inadvisable to use them with the rips? I'd say there are three small tears less than half an inch in size around one of the woofers. Does the sound quality diminish significantly when tears happen, and will it get worse over time as I play them? Images attached, thanks!

My husband was a huge fan of Klipsch speakers. He passed away suddenly this past January at the age of 59. He had (and now I have) a pair of Klipsch Klipschorn Floorstanding Speakers that he has had since the 70's. We have moved those enormous speakers many, many times in our 25 years of marriage. He absolutely LOVED these speakers. Well I have to part with them (I live in an RV and am renting out our house) and need help selling them. I have no idea about pricing them except what I have seen on eBay and Amazon. They are in very good condition. I also have no idea where to market them. I live in Austin, TX and would prefer local pick up due to their weight. Any suggestions?

After a huge investment of time and precious metal I have nearly finished my built-from-scratch home theater. Mains are TSCMs with a pair of RF 81ii for the center. The surrounds are RS 62ii and RS 51ii. Rears are RB81s and there are 4 [currently unused] ceiling ATMOS speakers. Amp is Top of line Marantz set up for 9.2. One of most important items is the length of the HDMI and Ethernet lines. I had trouble with lower performance lines as short as 10 feet. Anything over 10-15 feet mandates top of the line cabling. Especially important if you plan to stream 4k TV. I used special drywall with additional sound absorptive paint. Has worked well to limit the reflections. Heavy carpet with thick pads have limited the floor reflections. For you Klipsch Pro fans the TSCMs were pricey but have totally out performed a pair of Cornwalls. Looks like overkill; but, no one says you have to turn them up. In my theater I must be running them at 2 % of capacity and they absolutely sound great. I have tried almost every conceivable surround combination and frankly my ears can not tell the difference between the RS 62s and the RS 51s when used as surrounds. Actually any other quality speaker for that matter having tried at least 6 other combinations. The mains and center have made a huge difference however.

Hello, 2 weeks a go i heard a loud pop in my ProMedia 5.1 system. Does anyone know where i could find a Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 board? Mine recently died. I took it to my friend who is an audio guy and one of the components is burnt, and he said i would probably need to replace the entire board to fix it but he doesn't know where i could get one. He recommended me search online for a board but i cannot find any anywhere. Does anyone know where i can buy one? Do they even make these anymore? My Klipsch Promedia 5.1 lasted a good 13 years. I guess the ride is over, but before i move on, i would like to know if i can get this repaired. I am located in Philly. Does anyone know what i can do? Hello all members, This is my first topic and post on this forum, my english is a bit weak and rusty, so please be tolerant Recently i found white heresy speakers... seller didn't know what he was sellin' - to be honest i didn't know what i was buyin' too. So a bit akward situation. I bought them with Arcus TL 220 (set Arcus + Klipsch) - to be frank the 'little ones' - heresy... i paid for them almost nothing... I plugged them in into an oldschool Grundig A9000 (Marantz PM-80, with slightly bigger transformer), I was literally blown away with the sound quality, on everyday use i'm using Quadral Montan MK V - or maybe i should say i was using They are true legend speakers, that's for sure. In the past i had some JBL Studio monitor speakers... But to the point, Please help me, which heresy they are, i'm confused because they are first of all white inside and outside. The best part is i've never seen heresy with non-removal front grille, that's my biggest confusion. Crossover - Type C Lowrange - K-22 with red foam (alnico?) Midrange - K-55V (alnico?) Tweeter - K-77 (alnico?) They have non-removal grille - is that normal? No other information gathered, no backplate info, no nothing - they been repainted, at least outside. Please give me more info, they play phenomenal.

Any help is appreciated on this, a friend gave me these speakers. I do not see a serial number or model number on them. I'm not an audiophile either and I don't understand the speaker wire hook-ups--it looks like you can either wrap the wire around the screw or around a threaded rod then screw down a wingnut on it? Is there some sort of special terminal or way to hook these up?

Hi, so i bought a use promedia 2.1 last night and the two satalites where placed right on top of the sub when i tested it out there so i couldnt tell whether the right channel was quiet before i bought it or after however when i came home and plugged both my phone and laptop, the sound from the right speaker comes out much quieter than the left (left speaker has the control pod). I switched the wires in the back plugging the right speaker into the left channel and then the same thing happened, left speaker works just fine and right speaker (with the control pod) is now really quiet. i can still change the volume or bass on the control pod so i assumed the right channel in the sub itself is the problem. I was just wondering if this is a common problem and if there is a quick solution to this as i have no experience with fixing electronics.
