bluesboy
Have any of you guys seen these photos yet? They are supposedly retreved from a memory stick from a camera recovered from the plane that went down in the Atlantic in route from Brazil to France. Are these real? bluesboy
Here's the second one that a friend emailed me today of some poor soul actualy getting sucked out of the plane. What a breathtakenly awful sight.
JJkizak
They are showing blue sky and there were supposedly bad storms. JJK
bluesboy
They are showing blue sky and there were supposedly bad storms. JJK Yes, that was one of the first thoughts I had also. But what could be another origin for the photos?
picky
Me thinks Photoshop strikes again. They almost look like stills from a 'Lost' episode, but the may not be.
skonopa
They are showing blue sky and there were supposedly bad storms. JJK Yes, that was one of the first thoughts I had also. But what could be another origin for the photos? Ahhh, screenshots from the pilot episde of Lost? According to Snopes, this has been going around since 2006 and these photos are bogus and have nothing to do with the Air France accident. They come from the pilot episode of Lost. bluesboy
Well I guess that clears that up. Lesson learned, don't believe everything you get in emails.
skonopa
Well I guess that clears that up. Lesson learned, don't believe everything you get in emails. Whenever I see anything like that in my e-mail, (and of course, when I see similiar postings on the forums [] ) that is one the first things I do is go look it up in Snopes. More often than not, it is usually bogus in some form or another (i.e, real photos but not as described, or completely fake or taken from a fictional source such as this case). Islander
The latest thinking is that the airplane was intact when it hit the water in a steep dive at high speed and the passengers were not wearing lifejackets, suggesting little warning or preparation. blindman
The woman in the left side of these photos is one of the main actors on LOST...Kate. Look closely and you can see the handcuffs she was wearing during the flight. The man to her left (your right) is the police officer who was escorting her on the plane. The AIR FRANCE flight crashed in the middle of the night in a bad storm....and it was not an episode of LOST..................

A person really needs to be ready to reject the most-seemingly normal photos these days, let alone the dramatic ones. Remember the iceberg scene in Gore's movie? Faked. Hey, good catch on the handcuffs! I must agree with you; it must be Kate of 'Lost'. That's pretty good for a "blindman!" picky
Yeah, that's a classic one that's been circulating around since 2001. Snopes dubbed it "Accidental Tourist" appropriately. This hoax is deflated here: http://www.snopes.com/rumors/photos/tourist.asp
Jay481985
I can't comment much because of restrictions but there have been no memory cards or sticks. The recovery is very minimal. The photos are indeed fake, note that the fact that it looks like a video screen paused with the blurry motion. As for the bodies, they are coming to America

colterphoto1
How about this guy: Depth of field (focus) and lighting are all wrong. Easily spotted as a fake.

Rich_Guy
I had seen it on the news maybe a week or two ago that these fake photos were being circulated. They are indeed still frames from the pilot of the TV series "Lost".
