felitopaz
I would like to know is anyone has done a comparison between the RF-7 with the DeanG crossover modification and the new RF-7 II? I hear they took it to a new level and I was just wondering since I have the regular RF-7 with the DeanG mod. And I like them very muck. Ironsave
great asking .... just wait a little while , when users of both pool in their thoughts . +1!!!!! Be patient.... These speakers (RF7IIs) have been around for 6 months....... Dean mods are popular; but not everyone has done this..... I have read that: Intital impressions are thery are similar; yet slightly different........ This really means little...... A. I read it; did not hear it; B. Since I read it; it means very little..... C. I have not heard an A- B comparison; so see: A; B.... Also; depending which amp is powering them; it could make a big difference in the results.... Patience...... Audio Flynn
Like said before RF-7II is very new. They may sound similar to what you have. Nothing but good results from any DEANG mod. The alternative next step may be to Palladium or Heritage for you to define for yourself the next level of Klipsch sound. Good Luck! Guest davidness
I guess this means that people with DeanG'd RF-7's are so happy with them they haven't bothered investigating the RF-7 II's. I fall into that category. I certainly do love the look of the new version, especially in Cherry, and I probably would upgrade if the new model sounded moderately better, but how can that be?? If you'd like to send me a pair of the new RF-7 II (in cherry), I'd be happy to perform A-B tests and write a thorough review.
sheltie dave
Why don't you come for a listen, then find a pair of RF7IIs, and then tell us? Bump.
DANGERDAN
As i have seen the RF-7 DeanG mod was to correct the imbalance between the woofers and the tweeter to soften or reduce potential harshness, the RF83's were the replacement design with a correctly built crossover so they would not require the Dean mod. The RF-7 II is a restructured design being very similar to the original only having improved material and the improved crossover, so to my opinion they will have the very same qualitys nearly with perhaps the RF II's having the slight edge on looks and quality of parts but it would come down to taste and what you like. If you done a little search you could have discovered this yourself.
felitopaz
I have the RF-7's with DeanG mod and I like them very much. Just wondering if there are any audible noticeable difference that's all. Cheers.
