Guest " "
Any good ones this year? last year I went to one in NJ in which a whole down town district was roped off, music was brought in, old car and bike rallies, food tents, etc.
Groomlakearea51
I generally stay huddled up on the 5th of May because every crazy with a gun around here shoots up into the air and what goes up must come down..... [H]
Guest " "
I generally stay huddled up on the 5th of May because every crazy with a gun around here shoots up into the air and what goes up must come down..... ....3000 ft per second going up...but ultimately they come to a dead stop and then turn around and head back to earth....at a speed of 32ft per second ...per second....so best estimates is that it will reach its terminal velocity at about 300ft pers second...or at the speed of a low velisity BB gun. You've been shot with a BB gun before right???? As long as you keep your eyes on the pretty chica's and not looking up to see where the bullet went, you will be fine. BB's bounce off most of our hard heads.
sputnik
Probably still a good idea to keep all the gunplay safely indoors.
Moderators dtel Posted May 3, 2011 Moderators Share Posted May 3, 2011 Probably still a good idea to keep all the gunplay safely indoors. [:|] Good idea, that way all the bullets get stuck in the ceiling, much safer. []

DizRotus
People who know how to spell velocity have determined that fatalities can and have occurred from guns fired into the air. http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1199/can-a-bullet-fired-into-the-air-kill-someone-when-it-comes-down Can a bullet fired into the air kill someone when it comes down? “Experiments on cadavers and such have shown, for example, that a .38 caliber revolver bullet will perforate the skin and lodge in the underlying tissue at 191 feet per second and that triple-ought buckshot will do so at 213 feet per second.” ________________________________ Mythbusters http://kwc.org/mythbusters/2006/04/episode_50_bullets_fired_up_vo.html “For the first time ever, they deemed this one busted, plausible, and confirmed. All of their tests, from the pig's head to the 9mm firing to the balloon, showed that a bullet fired perfectly straight up into the air is not lethal. However, it is also very difficult to shoot perfectly straight up into the air and, with the cases cited by Dr. Mohler, they have confirmed that people have died from bullets falling from the sky.”
