You may use this card as an acceptable form of identification when you donate blood or platelets. As depicted here, depending on how often someone donates, donor cards may be red (for those who have donated less than one gallon); white (for 1-4 gallon donors); gold (for 5-9 gallon donors); or black ( for 10 or more gallon donors). Moderators dtel Posted August 4, 2011 Moderators Share Posted August 4, 2011 so what are the perks of the gallon club--they use clean needles? better snacks? Premium membership in the "other" bank. []
Jay481985
so what are the perks of the gallon club--they use clean needles? better snacks? Everything is sterile and disposable. Nothing is reused. Snacks are what they are, they're neither bad nor good. Honestly I think the card really does nothing, except sometimes people allow you to cut the line. (At public blood drives, since most of the people are new signups they take a lot more time to get ready, show id, etc. When I show them my gallon card they kinda let me go as I know the procedure and give blood rather quickly <4 minutes versus the average 10-15 minutes)
