JJkizak
Mallette: I sent "E" mails to all the governors along the Mississippi plus the dry states to do what China is doing---erect overflow dams along the river that are computer controlled to maintain the main river depth while siphoning off all of the flood waters to the parched states with aquaducts or dry river beds or dig a big hole the size of one of the Great Lakes. It makes no sense to me to allow trillions of gallons of flood water to go back into the Gulf. Just think of the number of jobs this project would create. Agreed. I am sure future generations will ask "Didn't these people know how to use WATER?" Dave
Moderators dtel Posted September 6, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 6, 2011 I am sure future generations will ask "Didn't these people know how to use WATER?" Well we use it about as well as the sun and the wind, if we could just put up a wind farm around DC we might have something. DAVE I know Texas has not had any rain and is really DRY but apparently now it's just bursting into flames ! I am afraid to ask what's next for Texas ? Invidiosulus
We had a lot of rain the past two days. This was at lunch today after it stopped raining, just around the hill behind my house. A few nights ago before the rain the Millpond above the dam was nice and peaceful, -Josh
