JL Sargent
Half time and it's 28-0. After watching Alabama's running back Yeldon run right through Notre Dame's Heisman finalist Manti T'eo you knew what was up with this one.
Moderators dtel Posted January 7, 2013 Moderators Share Posted January 7, 2013 Come on Irish! 1/2 the teams in the SEC would be doing better than this! At least half but, SEC.......that's the problem they are running into.
Jay481985
I cannot believe Notre Dame got a touchdown. Shame on you Bama.
Daddy Dee
Maybe the BCS system should be shelved in favor of letting LasVegas odds makers rank the teams. I've had to smile the last few weeks as it's been obvious that the #1 BCS pick was the underdog going into the championship game.
ssh
ND wouldn't have played a bowl game if they were in the SEC. The week-in, week-out pressure would can many of the "top teams". SSH
CECAA850
That game was a great argument for a college football playoff system. ND got jobbed by a couple of bad calls early and that was all she wrote. I quit watching at half time. An A&M rematch would have been more entertaining. Boxx
I suppose that Brent Musberger has regained his composure after having spotted this gal in the stands last night (or maybe not). Meet Katherine Webb, A.J. McCarron's girlfriend and Miss Alabama USA.
CECAA850
Thanks Boxx!! I was listening when Brent went on the girlfriend rant. It was akward at best. "Kids, start throwing the football around now so you can grow up and have a girlfriend like this". What was he thinking??
Don Richard
Don't forget A. J. Mccarron's mom. She was at the game too: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1474017-alabamas-aj-mccarron-sees-mom-become-internet-star-ahead-of-bcs-championship
mark1101
A previous poster mentioned that if Notre Dame was in the SEC they would not have gone to a bowl game. EXACTLY. I agree whole heartedly. I am SURE if they were in the SEC this year they would have had at least 5 losses. The only good thing that came out of last night was that we won't be seeing Notre Dame in this game again for quite a few years now. That was pitiful last night. JL Sargent
Regardless of the officiating, ND got owned all night long. Give ND a touchdown on the muffed punt call and you got 28-7 at the half. [] Anybody that watched Alabama's offensive line blow ND's defensive line off the ball for 5yds knew what the outcome would be. "Barret Jones roughed up AJ McCarron more than the Irish did" said ESPN pundit Michael Smith. ND had 32yds rushing in the whole game. Boxx
Un-nerved by all of the negative publicity that her husband has been getting. Mrs. Musberger has fallen off the wagon and is smoking once again. It is so very hard being the wife of a sportscaster...
JL Sargent
If dreams could come true there would be Alabama vs Texas A&M rematch this Saturday................
Boxx
Even Texas aggies would know better than do that (I think). The lesson from last year (with LSU) is still fresh...
CECAA850
Even Texas aggies would know better than do that (I think). I don't think that the aggies believe that anyone has an answer for Johnnie football. My future son-in-law is an aggie, I'm sure I'll be forced to watch him next year when they come over to visit
