Turbox
We had this huge system move up from Indiana, Ohio, Michigan area. Its dropped a foot and a half of snow in about 10 hours. I've had to dig my way out twice today...that snow on my window is 20 inches... wishing i was a little further south....

Moderators dtel Posted February 8, 2013 Moderators Share Posted February 8, 2013 That's crazy, wouldn't know what to do, we might get an inch every twenty years and that's 2-3 times combined for that inch, if were lucky. It's 70 right now, partly cloudy, but we pay for it in the summer. [:@]

Moderators dtel Posted February 8, 2013 Moderators Share Posted February 8, 2013 Well one good thing, that snow on the house is only 32 degrees which is probably warmer than the air ?
Turbox
actually today, its fairly warm about -3Deg C. thats about 26F. Two weeks ago it was -20deg C so thats about -4F. We get the most snow at around -3deg C to about -7deg C....so 26F to about 20F.

oscarsear
Here in Idaho I once got 3 feet of powder out of a single 24 hour storm. The dachshunds were quite unhappy with that deal.

Boxx
Hey box, i bet texas came to a grinding halt. i have to assume you dont have any snow removal machines? We have no snow removal machines in our area of Texas. However, in (what we call) the Texas Panhandle they are very used to snow and do have the machines necessary to remove snow. Our big issue, most of the time, is "ice" on the roads. We make tremendous efforts to salt/sand the roads (bridges and overpasses) whenever ice is predicted. Icing is really our biggest issue. MechMan
You should have about a foot and a half to man... Even more with the drifting. Took me an extra 10 minutes to take the wife shopping and run to the beer store with all the cars stuck all over the place. Even had transit buses blocking the way. [] Gotta love 4x4.
