j-malotky
The Audio DACs on the 105 are extremely Impressive. I already had a very good 32 bit DAC I use to use for 2CH and I prefer the detail clerity of the 105. I originally brought the 105 for HT and the added bonus of the 2CH ability makes me one extremely happy camper. I live in the Milwaukee WI area and if anyone would like to listen or watch the Oppo before you buy, shoot me a PM. JM

I originally brought the 105 for HT and the added bonus of the 2CH ability makes me one extremely happy camper. I'm in the same camp! I've never had a stand alone DAC as I've always had everything hooked up via HDMI in the past to my processor. Utilizing the DAC's of the 105 has brought a whole new level of musical bliss. I'm not the best at describing what I hear but like you said the detail and clarity is a noticeable improvement. Little things that I never noticed like the strum of a guitar, a piano key or a subtle cymbal are so much more refined. When I first got the 105, I thought more along the lines of it as a blu ray player with great musical capabilities. After the last few days of running the analog audio, I'm thinking more like it's a high quality music device that includes blu ray as a bonus. Just my opinion and thoughts fwiw []

Scrappydue
They make it sound like a 1200$ oppo is a 75$ Sony bd player from wal mart. They literally describe everything being way better! I would have to see measured specs on paper to believe any if it. But I bet they would never provide it. Photoshopped screenshots perhaps, but no actual data I'm sure. I won't even get into the warranty part of it. Once they muck it up, it's then your problem. Dicey at best. Avoidable, definitely!
