Hijack!!!!!!!!!

I just got a TD 125 about two months ago with the good Shure Type 2 not improved arm. Question. How long does it take to spin up to speed and does it groan a bit while doing so?

I have replaced the belt and decided to put oil in the bearing well.

Sorry Dude, Sometimes commerce must give way to "a guy's just gotta know".

When I got mine I had to replace the belt for the very same reason. There was lot's of groaning during startup. The new belt corrected all of this issue. I did not use any oil. It takes (roughly) 2 to 2.5 seconds to spin up to the proper speed.

I second the Thorens, I have the exact same one with the shure v15 mk3 setup even with a bent motor shaft it still sounds wonderful. Good luck with your search.
