Moderators Youthman Posted May 21, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 21, 2013 Just thought this was funny. I bet they sound fantastic. [] I've seen RC-7 and RC-64's look like that from the magnets breaking off during shipping and beating the speaker from the inside out. Wonder what happened to this RS speaker? derrickdj1
That damage is due to a solar flare strike because of a hole in the earth's ozone layer, lol.[*-)]
Coleman
Hmm maybe wife got mad about your OCD of buying too many Klipsch speakers
Moderators Youthman Posted May 21, 2013 Author Moderators Share Posted May 21, 2013 Angry spouse? I wouldn't think so. Look at the drivers, they were pushed from the inside out.
Rich_Guy
Angry spouse? I wouldn't think so. Look at the drivers, they were pushed from the inside out. Yep definitely looks like shipping damage, as said broken inside and pounding out from the inside.
Mongo171
Looks like what I did to my La Scala's. [:$]

Moderators Youthman Posted May 22, 2013 Author Moderators Share Posted May 22, 2013 I was joking I'm sure Boxx was too (which is who I quoted). [] If the magnets did that damage during shipping, it leads me to ask the question, are most klipsch speaker baskets made of plastic then? themrclean
I'd still take that speaker over BOSE any day.

Moderators Youthman Posted May 22, 2013 Author Moderators Share Posted May 22, 2013 No, I saw them listed here on ebay. Pretty pricey for a jacked up speaker.
Mongo171
If the magnets did that damage during shipping, it leads me to ask the question, are most klipsch speaker baskets made of plastic then? That's a very good question. Maybe better to ship the "modern" Klipsch speakers with at least the woofers pulled.
Mongo171
No, I saw them listed here on ebay. Pretty pricey for a jacked up speaker. Those woofers might be the cause of the "scratchy sound" in the title of the auction. That's just a wild guess on my side.
MechMan
I've seen that exact thing before. It's called the Barbra Streisand effect and it's not good. If your gonna play Barbs greatests you have to space them out with at least 4 other artists between songs and keep them below 78db. It's true. What else could it be... themrclean
The two things that destroy speakers: Distortion and Barbara Streisand!
