Mallette
Found this VU meter program. As an old radio guy, I still love fine Weston meters from the old days. While not Weston, this little program is very cool and quite accurate. It's what I'm running on my music room server now for eye candy. No install or nags...nice. Schu
I miss large meters... Onkyo was supposed to relrease a new 2 channel amp (m5000r) but has not done so
Mallette
I've a pair of 1949 Weston's. I've yet been unable to find someone to provide me a resistor layout to provide 1/10/100 watt switched taps for use with a power amp. Simple enough, something I could have drawn 40 years ago, but I forgot and either our real technical types consider it beneath their dignity or I've just never gotten through to the right one. Probably asked this 3 time over the past 10 years in technical... I'd really like to get those things mounted and working in a nice enclosure. Boxx
I enjoy the meters on my McIntosh MC 602. The only issue is replacing the burnt out lamps; a real pain.... Edited November 21, 2013 by Boxx
Mallette
Seems like that's always a pain, Boxx. Same issue on my Sony R2R. Dang near have to dismantle it to replace a meter bulb. Dave
Mallette
Hmm...wonder if you can attach a zip file in this brave new world. Looks good...try it yourselves. Just unzip to a folder and run the exe. Nothing else required... Dave vu_meter.zip
