TaylorATM Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I recently purchased these at an auction and don't know much about them. Someone we had look at them said the boxes looked homemade. Same guy tested all of the parts and the only non-functioning parts was one of the k77's. We opened one to see the sub. I figured I'd go to the source of Klipsch knowledge to find the real story on these. Quote
Sancho Panza Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Welcome to the Klipsch Forums, TaylorATM! Quote
TaylorATM Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 Thanks for the welcome. At this point I'm still not sure exactly what I have. They seem really well made, but I'm not sure how to tell if they are a custom job or made by Klipsch. Quote
runninshine Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Klipsch guts inside but from the pics that is not a Klipschorn. How do they sound? Welcome to the group. Quote
Marvel Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 (edited) Older Klipsch would have serial numbers stamped on the edges of the ply in the back. The tophat (holding the mid horn and tweeter) doesn't look like any Klipsch derivation I have seen. And welcome! Bruce Edited April 10, 2014 by Marvel Quote
mungkiman Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Could be the photos, but they look skinny to me. How wide are they? Quote
TaylorATM Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) Top Hat width: 23 5/8" Top Hat Depth from front to point in back: 29 1/2" Height: 50 1/4" Edited April 11, 2014 by TaylorATM Quote

joessportster Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Welcome, I would agree they look narrow across the front, and I have never seen the wing / table looking piece hanging off the sides Quote
djk Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) http://www.google.com/patents/US2373692 Wings, and "the front panel may be 24 inches in width". Edited April 11, 2014 by djk Quote
bkrop Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 They could have been from a custom installation but maybe they were modded for "false corners" on the bass bins Quote
