You would hate to have an accident with anesthesia in your system.Agree you should ask for an overnight observation bed. Technically, it's not an admission, which payers won't reimburse for this purpose. They'll have a limited number of observation beds, so you need to get in the queue if you can.Around here, they won't turn you over to someone, even a health professional, who only gives you a ride home and then takes off. They'll insist on someone staying overnight with you. Anesthesia departments aren't casual about this, unfortunately. It's not a system made for people who live alone. Never heard of the overnight observation. You're right about them being sticklers about having someone with you. While in Florida, (I only lived a mile away), they turned me away in spite of a Taxi taking me back. I won't discuss what I/we did This will be my 4th inspection so I know what to expect. Will they release you to a taxi?, although "Porn Star" above has offered to help.....Yikes!! Taxi, Porn Star and drugs.... Wife might encourage it to soften up my square edges haha! I do have a couch Stay away from the audition couch!! I am already on antibiotics I think you should just reschedule your procedure. Vandy is 3 1/2 hours away. Earliest they can see me (unless someone cancels) is Sept 10. I'd drive there tomorrow if I could to push this ball faster, postponing just for a ride (presuming I can work a backup plan) isn't in my cards. I want this over. Also....
