Raz0r
Cherry RC64II listed on ebay for $699.99 obo http://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-RC-64II-Reference-Series-Center-Channel-Speaker-CHERRY-/171453773239?pt=Speakers_Subwoofers&hash=item27eb70f5b7
Ceptorman
It has some damage. The veneer across the front has multiple damage spots. A piece on the tweeter needs to be glued. Doesn't come with a grill. I guess it's an decent deal.
Scrappydue
i think its a terrible deal myself. i think that should be about price on a brand new one IMO.
Raz0r
Agreed Scrappy!! I don't get why adding 2 x 6.5" woofers is 5x the cost of the RC62... amazes me....
Scrappydue
the 62 is much better bang for your buck. the fact that it is made in the us and the wood veneer is nice but it shouldn't raise the price near as much as it does. not sure but i think the original rc-64 was 1000$ not sure why new one went up 300$ more. Well it also has a much better horn driver. But with that said I agree the op is not a great deal. ps: the 64 is 5x the cost? Raz0r
From what I see in most cases, the RC62 is about $350-400... the RC64 is about $1250-1400... so I guess that is 4x more technically in most cases. I still see it as quite a huge leap in cost. Maybe the horn is that much better to add $1000 to the cost. Just seems like a huge delta too me, but I am a new noob to most of this area, so I will defer to the more extensive knowledge of the forum vets on that area. Most of the extra cost is the wood finish. The bigger cab, extra drivers, and better horn also. Plus its built here in hope and not on a china line. I think when it was 1200 retail it was priced better. I paid less than 800 for a new A stock 64ii. And I dont know anyone who has paid 1250-1400 (But Im sure people have). I have owned both these speakers and the 64ii sounds a lot better imo. But I can see how some one could make a case for the 62 as a better value. derrickdj1
I paid $600 and change for mine. I new others brought the RC 64 for less but, I wanted it, and I wanted it now. Mine was in mint condition and after having it for some time, I don't regret getting considering the hours of enjoyment it has provided me. K5SS
I did a side by side comparison of the 62 and the 64 in my living room. They are both fantastic speakers but there is no way the 64 is worth 3x + the price of the 62, especially if you have capable subs in your system to handle the low-end. The 64 sure is purdy though. Both are truly fantastic center channel speakers. Edited September 11, 2014 by K5SS

tempestious1
I bought an RC64 for $1300 plus I'd like to know where anyone could pick one up for $600 or less and does anybody know why they're not ported my RS62 uses the same subs and they're ported i don't get it
The History Kid
IMO non-ported centers tend to sound better...but that's just me. I don't have any plans to ever own a 64. A 7...now you might get me there...
