I too have serial numbers 2 apart. These are 80 ones in a birch finish.

OK mine are 8624573 top cabinet and 8624574 bass bin, and 8624575 top and 8624576 bass bin.

Is that correct for how these were paired up ??? They're supposedly 1980 models.

8624573 were made in 1986

if they were 1980 they would have the letter U in the serial number stamped into the wood and 1983 was the last year for stamping the wood. 1984 was the first year they started the serial number with the year they were built
