Boxx
Boxx - Those cover songs were sung by the "Sound Effects" on an album or two I sent for. I remember those "houses" coming out of Terre Haute, IN (IL?). Thanks, Very interesting....
muel
Yes, I joined... MULTIPLE times. First it was records and then later CDs. I recently ran across the Modern English CD they sent when I forgot to send the card back. I still have them all except for ones that have "disappeared" through the years. Funny... that stopped when I got rid of roommates and got married. Then it happened again when we had some construction at the house. hmmm... Edroom
I was in, Columbia record house, you had to tape a dime to the card and get your first ten records " free" then it was buy 6 to fulfill your commitment, for 4 times what they would cost in the store and if you didn't return the card you automatically got the record of the month. I learned if you didn't open it you could right "return to sender" without having to pay return postage. I don't remember all the albums I got but it was the start of my collection when I was 12 or 13, Aerosmith toys in the Attic, kiss alive and destroyer, those are the only ones I remember... oldtimer
My wife joined in the compact disc years. I got her to stop. Now she just buys the occasional grammy nominees cd which sometimes is playing in the car. I make that stop too. If you want to hear what's wrong with the country, just listen to a grammy nominee cd.

Heritage_Head
Lol I was part of it. They would just sent random stuff with a bill. I was a minor when I singed up so my mom called them and got the bill wiped out. Edited October 9, 2014 by reference_head
