BigStewMan
The last song from one of my favorite musicians … if anyone doesn’t yet know, Mr. Campbell is suffering from Alzheimer’s. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/videos/glen-campbell-shares-poignant-last-music-video-im-not-gonna-miss-you-20141012
Schu
Glen was always great... hes been il for some time... everytime I watch True Grit I am reminded of his art. He's not just a song writer and performer... he is very skilled in the guitar. Edited October 12, 2014 by Schu
Moderators dtel Posted October 12, 2014 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2014 I had no idea, it really is sad but you know, he had an unbelievable life, not that it's over but he did more then many can ever hope for.
Ceptorman
My Mom had Alzheimer's for 15 years before she passed away, 12 of those years she did excellent. A positive attitude can do wonders, I think it keeps you living your life. Glen is a great guitar player, he was on an episode of "Later…with Jools Holland" a couple of years ago, he sounded great. God bless you.
BigStewMan
you surely can’t fault the sick person; however, the line in the song that really hit me was “it won’t hurt me when you cry"
JL Sargent
He had 8 kids over 30 years with 4 different wives. That right there might be enough to give me Alzheimers.
ChuckAb3
CBS' Sunday Morning show did a spot on Glen within the past year. They interviewed him and one of his daughters. Worth taking a look if you can find it. At various times, he was an 'A' list session musician, a Beach Boy, the star of his own TV show (often playing with John Hartford), late night TV guest with Carson and others, etc., etc. At all times, one hell of a guitar picker. And, yeah, his personal life did tend to be a mess at times but that applies to a lot of folks.

Dr Morbius
He's 78 years old, for those who want to know. Real shame.
BigStewMan
Glen was a member of the famed Wrecking Crew … the best studio musicians in the business.
