Vintage Fisher 500c, fully restored by Craig at nosvalve four months ago. Also purchased nosvalve life time warranty, which is transferable. There is a long story behind this fisher, to make it short, i sent it to someone to restore, when i received unit back i had to sent it BACK to craig to FIX* and finishing restoring the unit. I purchased this unit to power khorns which are now SOLD. I put the unit on my heresy's and sound great but the heresys really dont get much play and i need the $. Trully hurts me to sell unit, i have been fighting it for months, hopefully it will go to a better home and get more use.

Unit looks great and works just as it should, sounds amazing! Unit also has a mono RCA out put derived from center channel which can be used with a crossover for subwoofer or as see fit. This was done at nosvalve. I have bill of sale with all details on tubes replaced, caps, etc. Please email me with any and all questions and i can forward you the bill with details on the work done. I also have the khorns which i might be willing to work a package deal if purchased together.

Alex

Without sounding to naive, I see a lot of people on here with gear like this that they use in their systems. What actually are they being used for? Are they just being used for a 2.0 or 4.0 setup for "music"? Or are they also being used for video also. I'm a newbie so please excuse the ignorance for now.

Being the owner of a Bizzy Bee rebuilt Fisher 400, I can speak from experience on how I use mine.  It's used in a dedicated 2-channel system, driving (for now) a pair of modded Forte II's ... and with great success, I might add!  I use the internal phono pre to run my AR XA table, and the AUX inputs with my Parks Audio Budgie/Empire TT combo.  It's a great set-up.

I use mine for 2 channel but I see no reason not to use it with video as well.  Sometimes video leads me to leave a system on for hours that it might not really be fully enjoyed or utilized though.  Seems like a waste to be watching a football game with the audio playing through a nice tube amp but I have done that before.

Looks like a clean 500!

Man you're  killing me.  Would like to compare with Fisher 400 but can't afford the price of admission.

If this helps anyone....  I'm nearby.  If you want to buy this and are coming through TN later on, I'd be happy to hold it for you.  (I'm being serious)

I travel around locally.  Will be going to Nashville in mid January (if I recall, if not, it's mid February).  I'll be heading to Atlanta sometime but then, he'll probably be driving through Atlanta so that won't matter.

Just throwing it out.  I'm willing to help if it helps someone.
