Tarheel
Always thought that if he and Janis Joplin had had a kid.......WOW! Remember in his early years stories about him traveling to venues and sleeping on a mattress in the back of a beat up pick up truck. His first CD was the first one I ever bought. RIP

rummy
I saw Joe at DKR stadium Austin in 74, he opened for Santana and ZZ TOP if I can remember. He was drinking whole cans of Pearl beer in one swig between songs, amazing! You cant go to a topless bar and not hear "Keep your hat on". RIP. BLSamuel
RIP Joe We all get by with a little help from our friends ... Local comedian, Alan Kaye who stated on a Kokomo radio station, went out to become a nationally known comedian, opening for Chicago in the 80's. Was back on Kokomo Radio when we moved to town. AK in the AM. And I thought it was Alan Kaye introducing Chicago on Chicago IV.... but maybe not. Performs regularly in Indianapolis with his band The Toons. Killler Joe Cocker impersonation. This past Friday at George's on 71st and Binford. Rick Benick, of Roadmaster, sitting in on guitar.
