Mallette
I've been following the "Equalizer Settings" thread and it cause me to do a bit of looking for something to help me measure my sub/K'horn crossover. Found it, and much more. http://mynoise.net/NoiseMachines/whiteNoiseGenerator.php http://www.wavtones.com/functiongenerator.php' http://www.wavtones.com/functiongenerator.php There is a background noise for ANYBODY here and the quality is extraordinary. On my system with DynaQuad it swirls around gently and forms a uniform sound field. Excellent for napping, reading, or for those of you in Colorado or Washington state you'll figure out a use. I think this site is gonna build a LOT of traffic. Be sure and check out the scientist (Dr. Ir. Stéphane Pigeon) behind the site's bio and info page. Fascinating, and he looks like genius. BTW, you can calibrate your ears while you are there.... Dave Edited January 31, 2015 by Mallette

Mallette
The PAW has taken over my listening room and is totally absorbed manipulating frequencies on Tibetan Choir. Had the house shaking with the Cinema F-20 and the sub-bass slider. Didgeridoo has got to be a HOOT! This is SO cool. Dave

Mallette
You gotta read the Doc's bio. He's pretty young and obviously brilliant. This is pure spinoff of his research. Dave
Mallette
Balinese setting on Temple Bells is marvelous. Hanging some pictures in the music room and what a nice surrounding to be in! If I put on music, I'd just sit and listen... Dave

Mallette
I've turned on my tuners in the rest of the house and outside to it. Running one of the meditative soundscapes throughout the house and yard. Everybody happy! Sort of like a whole house audio air freshener. Moderators dtel Posted January 31, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 31, 2015 That sounds cool, when I get time I want to see if it will go on my phone, I could use it out by the bar for hammock time, the ocean or jungle sounds would be great out there, I really need to check it out more. seti
Thanks... A few years ago I was driving round trip to Georgia. I stopped at Murfreesboro TN and stayed at a brand new Embassy Suites hotel. The hotel had HD tv's in the rooms. One of the channels was called chill or something like that. The screensaver was low light pulsing psychedelic patterns with relaxing ambient sounds. Been trying to find something like that for years. I even called the hotel and asked and they thought I was talking crazy...
Mallette
Well, got so carried away with the noise generator (the PAW has seashore going all over the premises while we work today) I forgot I also found what I was looking for, reliable test tones and such. These are from the same guy. http://www.wavtones.com/functiongenerator.php http://www.audiocheck.net/ Dave

colterphoto1
I use an iPhone app called SleepMachine when I travel. You get to mix three sound from a wide library. There is a SleepMachine Lite also that's less expensive (free?) SleepSoftLLC.com I have one that is Reflection (low mid drones), light rain, and about 20% crickets that is great for meditating. Mallette
So yesterday I put on some Louis Armstrong from my digital files. When I flipped the preamp to it I thought "WTF?" as I heard something else mixed in. Realized I had rain and seashore going. Sound like listening to Louis out on the deck overlooking the beach in a rain storm. Actually, pretty cool! Dave
