Dankimus
It's just not cutting it. The fidelity is brilliant, but dammit, I want more DBs. After years of loud machinery, working in refineries, building racing engines, trauck pulling, etc, I must be partially deaf or sumthin'. The DBs just arent there for me.
moray james
so buy some LaScala and a horn loaded sub you can remove stucco with that combination and wallpaper and paint are easily removed with LaScala alone.
teaman
I would lean towards some of the Klipsch pro speakers. The KP lines really rock. I am sure the latest pro speakers are even more kick ***.
minermark
I respect a man that just flat out states what he wants If that is what you wish to pursue, 100 mile radius on the CL and you WILL find some amps, dont worry about tubers or SS, id go with SS, they are plentyfull and cheap. Now if it's big Bad Azzed speakers you need, i just might be the guy. just happen to have my EAW stacks listed.

I will eventually be building a tuba of some sort. I plan on placing it up in the corner of the hearth where it is out of the way. I would really like to hear some RF-7's diven hard and see how they do for me. La Scala's would be great the hear as well, I never have... Fork of the Yuba above little town of Washington mostly. I know the town, Dredged every dam dam river in this state in 30+ years. Current claim(s) in Nevada/Oregon, dredging will never happen again in this loser state. P.S. Bear is known for some dam fine pickins, if i were you and that close, id be out every dam day before they outlaw that too.
John Chi-town
Remember also that horn speakers are much more efficient than the competition. What makes some speakers sound louder is distortion. Clean db's do not seem as loud in general than those with varying degrees of distortion. If you have a way of db testing, put up to any cone speaker and see which sounds louder at the same db. Best regards,John
Shakeydeal
Try something better than an AVR to power your speakers. Shakey
Shakeydeal
Another thought after looking at your pics. It is VERY difficult to get good sound in an open floor plan room such as yours. I think given the size of your speakers powered by a receiver vs. the size of your room, your expectations may be unrealistic. Is there another room in your house that might have better acoustic properties? Shakey
jjptkd
If you're really looking to shake things up in the 120+ db range you can keep an eye out for a KP stack. There are a lot of different models out there, pictured are the KP 250 & KP 250 II's with the KP 4000 18" subs. I've kept the KP-250 II's but modded them with k-55v mid drivers and stacked them on the newer Ultra 2 subs.
